Christmas star by Kasia

Hello,
today I have for You a wooden star with an interesting and easy-to-do background.
First, you have to apply a thick layer of modeling paste. Then, make patterns using a rubber tool.
When the paste is dry, decorate the star of your own choosing.

Witajcie,

Winter cards by Kasia

Hello!
Today something special for me - cards. I make it very rarely, but for Christmas I try to make a few. I want to show you, how to make snow effect with our media - modeling paste and gel medium.
First - my cards without snow ;)

Then, I mixed gel medium and glitter, and applied on the card.

In this card I made snow with modeling paste. Remember, in this case you need to sprinkle with the glitter, not mixed with paste.

It's hard to capture this effect on the photo, but I tried to...

Remember… - layout by Kasia Bogatko

Hello!
Today I have for You another mini photo tutorial about making background.
This time I made my project on white cardboard.

First (1.) I painted it with gesso, then (2.) gel medium and glued laces and gauze on it. When it was completely dry (3.) I added my favourite mists - this time pastel mint, pearl olive green and absolutely fabulous new color - pearl old gold. After that (4.) I added some papers from our new collection Color Basic and a little bit of Splash! Ink - black and the new one - gold

I maded another few layers of papers, gauze, flowers and my project was ready :)

Here you have a new Splash! Ink - gold. It's fantastic!

I also used our fabric flowers. I painted them with gesso and heated with heat tool (be careful not to burn it!).

Mixed-media tags - by Kasia Bogatko

Hello!
Today I have for you two tags. It's a great way to practice your skills.
Both were created on a black base and with a lot of mediums.

I like to use glass beads to create the background. I stick them with gel medium and lightly covered with gesso. They will be more visible and better prepared to mists and paints.

How to decorate metal and resin elements - tutorial by Kasia Bogatko

Hello!
Today I have a little tutorial for you. I want to show you, how I decorate metal and resin elements to my projects.

1. cover the elements with gesso (add to it a little bit of water)
2. paint with chosen color (I love gold!)
3. add you favorite colors (mine - metallic blue and pink).
I do it mostly with my fingers. That gives a natural and smooth effect.

Now you can add some embossing powders. Look at the result with distress embossing powder and gesso - it looks realy like a rust.

Resin elements don't need a gesso, you can mists them with 2-3 colors (heat after each color).
I used a pearl gold, pearl pink and chalk blue light mist. To highlight the details use paint or embossing powder.

Thank You!
