Hope you are doing great and creative!!

As you know, the new watercolors are totally awesome. 

They are super versatile, the colors are amazing and the quality is super good!!

People often ask me how I manage to do watercolor background, 

it is super easy and even more with the watercolors. I think it's a good compromise, you have a lot

of colors in the pans and can use them for background, painting clay, stamp, etc.

Art journal diary by Christina

Hello!!!!This is Christina here today with a new art journal page. Today I have a new idea for you. I have decided to make an art journal diary  , using several techniques on the right side of my spread and my diary on the left side. Well , I loved my last art journal page , so I had the idea of creating a new one , with a Video tutoria!!!! My first video!!!!

Well , it's obvious , that i don't want many layers for this art journal , so I try to have a flat backround with layers of papers for decreasing the height. This time , as you can see , I have used more than three colours , something I rarely do. 

I adore combine several papers from 13arts , so I used anything I thought that could fit together. 

Here are some details. I used a lot of shiny products this time. I think that my projects will be this glittery!!!!

Last Project from our GD- Darya Shkuratova

Trzy miesiące minęły bardzo szybko. Dziś po raz ostatni gościmy naszą utalentowaną Gościnną Projektantkę  Daryę Shkuratovą. Tym razem Darya przygotowała dla nas piękną kartkę.

It's the most exciting time of the month- introducing new Designers! Today we would like to show you a beautiful layout by our new talented Guest Designer- Lori Woods from UK! We sure you will love her projects as much as we do! But first let's learn something more about Lori.

Hi everyone, I'm Lori from the UK and I'm so excited to be a guest on the 13arts blog! 

I've always been crafty and used to do traditional scrapbooking but since I discovered mixed media a few years ago, I haven't looked back. I love mixed media- the textures, the mess, the freedom to create outside the lines! My favourite techniques all involve texture, whether it's using stencils or paste, clay and embellishments, or fussy cutting paper designs to create focal points. My style ranges from steampunk/ industrial grunge to sometimes quite floral and girly, with a bit of clean and simple, and messy rainbows of colour in between. I like to constantly challenge myself to try new techniques and take my inspiration from the world around me.

For my first Guest Designer post, I made a layout about being free to create and be artistic. The feathers on the beautiful His & Hers collection always make me think of wings, so that's exactly what I decided to make from them. I started with a sheet of Aria- Sunny song paper, a clock chipboard from the His & Hers set and Ayeeda pearl mist in Old Gold. I used the chipboard as a stencil and sprayed the mist over the paper to both create a clock background and colour the chipboard. Using the His & Hers Butterflies stencil I added some text, then smeared some gel medium over areas of the page and sprinkled on silver mika flakes and black glitter. I cut out all the feathers from a sheet of His & Hers Feathers, scored down the midline and folded slightly to give them some shape and then started to construct the wings. I used gel medium to attach all the feathers together and finished off each wing with a metal clock embellishment. I glued down the clock chipboard onto the page, wrapped some sisal around it then stuck down the wings. A few feathers that I had left over were placed in the corner and glued down with a clock embellishment and I finished off the page with some text stickers and butterflies cut from the Aura Rosa collection.

"I have been creating all my life. 2012 I did my first cards and since then I am stucked with papercraft and mixedmedia. Mixedmedia are now a big part of my life. Love to have messy hands, full of medias and color. Love to create different mixedmedia projects. I do cards, layouts, canvases, albums, art journal, ATC and also altered projects. I like new projects and challenges all the time. New products and new way of thinking get me exicted. I have experience from many designteams in Sweden. Here in Sweden I have workshops and mixedmedia classes for shops and on some events. I try to create in different styles and I am a big fan of glitter on my projects. I am happy to have be a GDT member and hope I can give some inspiration."

Dream layout

I think you should believe in your dreams. Thats why I have made this layout. I am really happy to be a GDT here for 13arts. Hope I can give some inspiration.

I have used two papers from different collection on my layout and I have made one lighter and one darker side. For texture some paperscraps and I also used a lovely stencil, Aura Rosa Words.

I love butterflies so here I have used butterflies from the stickers collection His and Hers.

Have used different shades och Pearl mist and on that Micro glass beads and some glassfillers and at last some  Gold Glitter. Really love when its sparkle...

Wedding Set - Lady E - Komlet Ślubny

Witajcie!

Z pięknych papierów 13arts Aura Rosa zrobiłam kartkę ślubną z pudełkiem.

I have used beautiful 13arts Aura Rosa collection to make a wedding card with box.

Napis Mr&Mrs potraktowałam pudrem do embossingu - czarnym ze srebrnymi drobinkami.

I have embossed Mr&Mrs sentiment with black and silver embossing powder.

  Baza kartki i pudełko do samodzielnego złożenia także pochodzi z 13arts'owego sklepu :)

Card base and box for self assemble is also from 13arts store :)

 2 większe kwiaty wykonałam z foamiranu, wiecie że foamiran w 13arts także jest? :)

2 bigger flowers are out of foamiran, do you know that foamiran is also in 13arts store? :)

Mini album by Christina

Hello there !!! It's Christina here and today I would like to show you a mini album that I made as a gift for my daughter's teacher. I have used "Aura Rosa " collection and I have done a looot of fussy-cutting  , cause I wanted to use all the details of this collection!

                                                     Here is the cover of my mini album....

 As a mixed media designer I wanted to use some modeling paste and some splashes on my mini album cover , but you'll see that this time I didn't use anything else of mixed media supplies..Weird for me!.

         My mini album is contained by 7 chipboards and has a lot of space for 18-20 photos.Some of the pages are here!

I have created some pockets for photos and some black chipboards to give some extra effect on these fabulous papers.

                                          Some fussy - cutting is nessesary with this collection...

I have also used some tags from the collection as a space for some handwriting or notes for the photos...

I loved the lace items on thgis album.Here is an envelope I made for some extra space for memories!
