Special Gift

As I turned on the outside lights at 5:35AM for my early morning seminary students, I found a special surprise on my front lawn.
I wasn't just toilet papered….. we got the whole commode!
You don't have to come and confess
We lookin' for you.
We gonna find you.
You can run and tell that,
Homeboy!

(Actually, I already know it was one of my seminary students who left me this nice gift. They had already 'toiletted' another friend and came back to get it for someone else's yard. I actually feel honored. If the toilet had been full of something, then I would have worried.)

Bribery is more effective

Seminary began yesterday. It was a GREAT day. . . but 4 of my 5 students forgot to bring their scriptures. This morning I had an award for those who brought them. I went for the BIG candy bars, not the little minis. I needed some incentive.

It worked.

When I whipped out the big candy bars, one student even ran back out to his car to get his scriptures.
Tomorrow, the same incentive stands. I'm hoping on 100% scripture attendance.
I don't want to have to eat all of those candy bars all by myself. That would be torture.
