Milani Baked Blush in Berry Amore Review

Who among you remembers MILANI Baked Blush?
This brand brought me back to so much Beauty Blogging memories.  The times when commenting and interacting is a huge thing and I met a lot of International Blogger friends!

One brand we loved when it comes to blush powder?  MILANI!  I remember ordering online at Ulta as I do online research for shade swatches.

Then BOOM!  Different brands came about and Milani was pushed to the backdoor!

Today, for the LOVE of the brand and Beauty Blogging, I am creating this post especially for MILANI BAKED BLUSH - one of the most loved products from the brand!

I got them via Local Reseller Little Miss Shopper MNL (I got a couple of items from them, CLICK HERE! )

Housed in all plastic packaging, I usually dislike it but thankfully, the color and the feel was nice and it has a compartment underneath with a free brush and a mirror!  That said, what more will you ask for for a travel blush powder?

AMW Version: "Color Blocking" Look

Hi everyone, I am a tiny bit proud of myself as I am able to do one version a week!  YAY!  *clap clap clap*  Well thanks to readers who are so sweet to request for it, I never thought it would give impact to you!  I am glad it did and I am glad I was able to brighten your day even on the cyber world!

Like I said over the past "AMW Version: Twiggy Inspired Summer-Ready Makeup", I will be doing a series of summer related make-up for those enjoying the summer!  Of  course, technically, less is always the best on a hot summer day!  This tutorial is probably best to do on summer parties you need to attend!

In fashion, Color Blocking is quite famous and I've seen models and actors/actresses wearing the Color-Blocking styles.

Color blocking refers to using 2 or more colors complementing each other in a creative way!  Imagine the costume of Spiderman?  Well, I am not doing Spiderman-inspired make-up but something more summery...blues and purples....

 AMW Diagram

Step 1:
Apply MAC shadesticks in Beige-ing as base.

Pat on Ulta's Deep Sea eyeshadow all over the lids going beyond the crease.

Step 2:
Flip the same flat shader brush, apply PAC Pearly Blue (my favorite bright blue eyeshadow to date) on the crease area going 1cm beyond.  Add as much as you want  and use a blending brush to gently blend in Ulta's Deep Sea shade and PAC's Pearly Blue shade.

Step 3:
To enhance the brightness of the blue eyeshadows, I apply white pearly eyeshadow on the outer corner, below the brows with Majolica Majorca BR742 palette.  Use the same color to apply the inner lower lashline for a bright look.

Step 4:
Using a pencil brush, I applied Milani's Shock eyeshadow on the lower lashline.

Step 5:
Create black eyeliner on the upper lash line with Revlon's ColorStay Liquid Liner in Black.

Step 6:
To make the eyes pop even more, apply Lancome's Le Crayon Kohl Pencil in Aqua.

 Applied A10 falsies from KKCenterHK
Used Sassy Brush-on Eyelash Glue
(lashes are very soft  and feels so light)

Filled in my brows with powder brow powder

My Color Blocking look for the week :)

What's on the rest of my face?

For the Face:
Majolica Majorca Skin Remaker Pore Cover SPF18

AMW Version: Twiggy Inspired Summer-Ready Make-Up

I want to continue my discussion on Summer-Ready Make-up!  I just gave tips yesterday on how to summer-readify (if there's such term) your make-up!  Now it's time to create my version of a bright, fun summer make-up anyone can do!

Of course a twist will always be nice!  I have some bottom lash falsies which reminded me so much of Twiggy!  Twiggy-look is known for "cutting the crease" and I want to put a twist!  Bright, summery shades plus the falsies Twiggy is known for!  Are you ready for the outcome?

Here you go, simple shades yet falsies gave  the nice impact!

AMW Diagram
Promise, the steps are super simple
and easy to follow!

Step 1:
Apply a nice, matte base for the colors to pop out.  Most summer shades are not that pigmented like the ones I will use.  So I use Benefit's Lemon Aid.

Pat on MAC Sunshine Yellow eyeshadow with a flat shader blush.  Apply on the crease area going beyond.  Pat more as desired.

 Step 2:
With a small blending brush from the Urban Decay Palette, I applied Milani Garden Mist eyeshadow on the crease area only blending upwards.

Step 3:
Since I planned on using thick falsies, I won't be lining my eyes much, instead I tigthtlined with Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Zero (black).  Apply Urban Decay 24/7  Glide on Eye Pencil in Yeyo (white) on the water line to make eyes pop.

Do not forget to fill in your brows.

I re-used GlamBox Mink Lash
I love it that the lashes stay in good shape
even after several usage

I applied A020 lower lash from KKCenterHK
Easy to apply even for a first timer like myself
I used Ardell LashGrip Eyelash Adhesive in Clear

 Voila!  My Twiggy Inspired
Summer-Ready makeup
You can always opt just to create the eye makeup minus the falsies

What's on the rest of my face?

For the Face:
Paul & Joe Moisturizing Compact Foundation 30
MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in Light

For the Cheeks:
MAC Mineralize Blush in Superduper Natural
 For the Lips:
Elianto Berry Lipstick in 03
Topped with Niva Lipcare for shine

A huge smile would help!
Curled my hair with my trustee flat iron

AMW Version: Late St. Patrick's Day Look

Happy Thursday gorgeous people!  Let's share that huge smile to people we meet as it's such a blessing to be able to wake up each morning and spend time with our loved ones!

Yes, you got me!  I'm in the mood, Friday is so near and yet...so far away?  *hahaha*

As I try my best to do as much AMW Version as possible, I did manage to create a darker look (promise, it does look darker in person), I wanted to give this a unique name but it seems like I missed St. Patrick's Day so I'm dedicating this look to countries who celebrated St. Patrick's Day!

Of course, when we talk about St. Patrick's Day, we are speaking the color green!  That  lso includes my mind *teeheee*  Smokey green tutorial can be as easy as 1-2-3...adding 4 and 5 for eyelining! :)  Then I suggest we turn that sentence into a nursery rhyme! :P

AMW Diagram

Step 1:
Instead of using eye primer, I've decided to use The Body Shop Special Edition Kajal Liner in 02 Ever Green as base!  You do not need to apply this evenly as this only serves as a  nice base to make whatever green eyeshadow you use to pop out!

With any flat shader brush or eyeshadow brush, I pat on TBS Eye Colour in 43 Velvet Green on top of the Kajal Liner.

Step 2:
To blend in harsh lines from Step 1, use Milani eyeshadow in Garden Mist, gently blend it on the crease area with a wiper motion until you get a nice "smokey" effect.  You can always re-do step 1 until you reach your desired "smokey effect".

Step 3:
Highlight the brow bone area with Stila eyeshadow in Kitten.

Step 5:
Line the upper lash line with Stila Smudge Pots in Black.
Step 6:
For a nice pop of color, I used Lancome Le Crayon Khol waterproof in Teal on the waterline.  You can choose whatever shade of eyeliner you own for that nice pop of color!
This can even be worn alone!  Very gorgeous shade!

Do not forget the fill in your brows, curl your lashes and apply coats of mascara.  I used L'Oreal Curl Impact Collagen in Black in this tutorial.

Here's the outcome of my Late St. Patrick's Day look.  Would you believe I am too lazy to switch eyeshadow brushes that I used only one brush for all 3 eye shadows in this tutorial.  Do not forget to wipe out excess eyeshadow in between application so the colors won't mix!

Reference:  I used Prestige #104 Shadow Sweep brush

On to the rest of my face, oh!  To some who asked, my hair color is "Light Golden Brown" from box, Revlon Colorsilk!

For the Cheeks
Paul and Joe Cheek Colour 08

For the Lips:
Kiehl's Lip Blam #1 applied while doing eye makeup

Hope you like my smokey green look!

Have a gorgeous day!
Keep smilin'
Stay happy!
