Technology Tip Number 165
Ouch, I just Overtyped
Have
you ever started typing something, then backed up into your sentence to
add a word? Usually when you do this the curser pushes the words after
the one you are adding so your new word can be added to the sentence.
But sometimes the curser starts typing right over the words in your
sentence rather than inserting the new word into your sentence. This is
called
overtyping and it’s a feature that can be toggled on and off
using the “Insert” button on your keyboard:

PRACTICE ACTIVITY:
Try using the insert button to toggle the overtyping feature on and off
while your typing something today.
TO KEEP ON LEARNING: To learn more about typing features
