Are people really this clueless? What the fuck is “lemon chiffon cake” anyway? I always thought it was lemon chiffon pie.

Good Lord, what a load of insufferable snobbery. These people don’t even have the self-awareness to know how ridiculously elitist they sound. Well, let the lefties continue with their bad assumptions and their underestimations of red-state America’s intelligence. Lefty arrogance will insure that they will continue to lose elections.

By the way, there is such a thing as lemon chiffon cake.
The pie version is better, though.

This is a Guardian columnist. If she told me what time it was, I would assume she was off by at least 12 hours. I’ve never read any Guardian commentary about the US that didn’t sound like the writer’s knowledge of America was based on old reruns of second-tier TV shows. I used to think it was malice. Now I think it’s honestly just stupidity and a complete and utter inability to think critically.
I just saw a lemon chiffon pie recipe and have been meaning to try it. I love those old church-picnic type dishes.
