Real Madrid v Real Valladolid live - La Liga result as Endrick scores on home debut to seal 3-0 win for Ancelotti's men

Endrick scored his first goal for Real Madrid as Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat Real Valladolid 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu to get their La Liga campaign up and running.

The Brazilian youngster was introduced late on in place of Kylian Mbappe and superbly finished off a scintillating counter-attack led by Brahim Diaz to seal the win with his side’s third of the afternoon deep in added time.

After a frustrating first half, it was a deflected free-kick from Federico Valverde that broke the deadlock for Los Blancos before Diaz doubled their lead with a sumptuous lobbed finish late on.

Mbappe’s best chance came in the second half as his effort from close range was saved well by Karl Hein and his wait for a first La Liga goal extends beyond his much-anticipated home debut.

Up next for Los Blancos is a trip to Las Palmas on Thursday evening as they look to build on the four points amassed in their opening two fixtures of their La Liga title defence.

That goal was almost the final touch of the match as the referee brings this La Liga clash to a conclusion and it's a first win in the league this season for Real Madrid who in the end made it look comfortable against a Real Valladolid side who were resolute for large parts but eventually worn down.

Diaz picks up a lovely pocket of space in his own half before driving the ball up the pitch to the edge of the box. He does well to find Endrick to his right. The young Brazilian shifts the ball onto his right foot and beats Hein low at his near post. A great breakaway goal!

A late chance for Valladolid as Moro plays a cross to the edge of the box to Amallah but his volleyed effort with his instep goes way over.

There will be six minutes of added time to conclude this one. Moro then brings down Militao after the Brazilian did well to defend the attacker in a 1v1 situation.

It's a long ball over the top from Militao that unlocks the Valladolid defence as Diaz spins and is in on goal. The Moroccan nods the ball on with his head and keeps his composure to lob the onrushing Hein on the half-volley with his left foot. A lovely finish from the substitute.

Mbappe is then released down Madrid's left channel and is bearing down on goal but as the defenders recover his toe-poked effort skews wide of the right post. That was the first time it felt like Mbappe was able to make his usual runs down that channel and be played in on goal.

And that was his last action so no home-debut goal or first La Liga for Mbappe who is replaced by Brazilian youngster Endrick.

Perez looks to have a number of options as he approaches the Madrid defence but his through ball is cut out by Carvajal before Modric uncharacteristically gives it away cheaply. The Bernabeu is growing restless.

Vinicius is then replaced by Ceballos with Ancelotti perhaps wanting to establish more control on the ball. Endrick looks set to come on as well. A Valladolid corner is eventually cleared after a moment of pinball.

Down the other end Sylla is put through on goal, but under pressure from Militao he pokes his right-footed effort wide of the left-hand post. A big chance that for the visitors.

Mbappe looks to combine with Modric but he stumbles as he enters the box and it's starting to feel like it's not going to be his day on his home debut.

Mbappe goes close!

Play is resumed with a wonderful diagonal from Comert Perez's long-range strike is closed down. Mbappe threatens to strecth his legs down the right but Boyomo comes across well. Moro then wins a corner off Carvajal down the visitors' left.

Boyomo attacks it twice but Courtois eventually claims and releases Vinicius who sits down Perez with some great skill. The winger plays an outside of the foot ball across the box and Mbappe looks certain to score with his left foot but Hein saves again!

As the players take on some hydration and messages from the managers, it is still Fede Valverde's deflected strike from a free-kick that is making the difference with 15 minutes to go.

Madrid then look to take the pace out of the game for a moment after a frantic second period with Modric starting to take control of things.

Vinicius looks to release an early cross with the outside of the boot to find Mbappe at the near post but it's put behind for a corner that's cleared at the near post. Rudiger gives away a foul in the process.

That is the cue for a drinks break.

Valladolid have a corner from the right and it is met by a leaping Boyomo up from the back but Rudiger can head the deflected header clear with a header of his own.

Mario Martin and last season's top scorer for the Valladolid Mamadou Sylla are on for Juric and Marcos Andre.

Madrid are really knocking on the door now and it's Guler again who cuts in onto his left foot but his low, deflected effort is saved by Hein.

Luka Modric and Brahim Diaz are eventually introduced for Madrid's first changes after being ready on the sideline for some time. They are on for Guler and Rodrygo.

A nice from back to front sees Vinicius freed and running at the defence but his disguised through ball looking for Mbappe is well overhit.

It really should be two! A wonderful diagonal pass from Militao is sumptuously taken in his stride by Rodrygo on the left. He looks to square it to Vinicus for a tap-in but it doesn't have enough on it and is cut out. So good then so sloppy from Rodrygo.

A huge chance to equalise for Moro after Juric runs from deep before laying the ball across to the left of the box for the onrushing substitute who opens his body as he attempts the Theirry Henry finish but it doesn't go to plan and goes high and wide.

Vinicius, Rodrygo and Mbappe look to combine but the Frenchman is dispossessed from behind. Another chance for Guler as the underlapping Garcia whips in a cross from the byline. Guler acrobatically gets an effort away but it's straight at Hein. Carvajal is then released down the right but his low cross is into the arms of the keeper.

Militao goes on a marauding run and somehow bundles his way through about three defenders. The ball is worked to Vinicius who again finds Guler arriving in the box. He looks for the sweeping finish again but it's deflected behind for a corner that drops to Mbappe at the back post but his header hasn't enough purchaase to trouble Hein.

Moro and Amallah come on for Machis and Mesquer in two attacking changes for Valladolid.

A great chance for Guler to double the lead as he plays a one-two with Vinicius who pulls it back to the Turkish international just inside the box. He looks to stroke it home but his effort is blocked. Guler then picks up a yellow card for a cynical foul on Perez as he looks to counter.

Valladolid have an opening of their own as Andre plays in Mesequer but the angle is tight and Courtois can smother his effort. Mbappe skips past the defender to get the crowd on their feet and it's a totally different atmosphere now in the Bernabeu.

Vinicius wins a foul on the edge of the box for a forearm to the neck. Guler and Rodrygo adjust the angle to tee it up for Valverde who strikes low and hard. The free-kick is deflected of Juric and fires into the bottom right corner.

Garcia drills a ball into Guler in the box who looks to cushion it into the path of Mbappe but it's a familar sight of a crowded Valladolid box that manages to clear.

Garcia then wins a free-kick that Madrid take quickly this time as they look to up the tempo.An opening for Madrid as Valverde slides Guler in on the right of the Madrid box. The youngster produces a cross come shot on his weaker foot that Hein parries away.

An unchanged Real Madrid kick us off for the second half going from right to left. There are no changes for the visitors either.

Modric looks to be getting ready to come on shortly.
