Seize The Birthday - Cupcakes or Candy


Time for a new challenge at Seize The Birthday and this time our topping is Cupcakes or Candy.  I went all CAS with this gorgeous image, using Distress Inks to watercolour.  The sentiment is from The Bee's Knees World Birthday Cakes.

    Shirley, is this beyond adorable image (who looks remarkably like my niece...including a fondness for things sweet and decadent *grin*) one of yours? If so...oh my stars! A must have in my books! She is fantastic; your colouring is fantastic; this card is fantastic! Can you tell I'm smitten?

      Aileen, the step is by Crafter's Companion, from the Angelica and Adam range, and it's called Cherry on Top.

    Hi Shirley. So cute and I envy your colouring skills. What card stock have you used for this, as it doesn't look like watercolour card yet the effect looks as though you have :-)

      Mrs Harry, I've used ordinary cardstock. I've got a huge stash of cardstock but it was likely Sheena Douglass or Craftwork Cards. Different batches react differently, but if I work quickly, there's just enough time to spread the colour before it grabs.
