Ariana Grande has ben taking the world by storm over the past few years. After starting her career in TV, she moved into music and has been slaying ever since. She's released multiple studio albums and her most recent two have been number one's. There's no doubt in my mind that thank u, next will be her third number one album.
Her fifth album, thank u, next, was released yesterday and I don't think one person has said a bad word about it. Her first single from the album was thank u, next which was a hit. An empowering break up song that was targeted at her past lovers had everyone belting it after a heartbreak. Her music video includes parodies from Mean Girls, Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30 and Bring It On.
After releasing further singles, imagine, 7 rings and break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored, we were finally blessed with the full album. Full of sass, the album slays. This album gives me 20's vibes in parts whilst also being ahead of it's time. I think that this is Ariana's best album yet, her music keeps getting better and better.
The tracking is as follows:
imagine
needy
NASA
bloodline
fake smile
bad idea
make up
ghostin
in my head
7 rings
thank u, next
break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored
My personal favourite tracks are bloodline, NASA and break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored. bloodline is full of hair flipping moments, it's definitely one of the funkier songs on the album and I personally think screams Ariana Grande.
NASA is more of a chilled song. It's all about taking time away from people and making bonds stronger. Ariana is clearly stating in this song that before you can love someone you need to self discover. Without the lyrics, this is still a great song that you can definitely dance to.
break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored is a smash. The lyrics, I find, are a love it or hate it (I'm a lover) but the songs is going to be blasted through every speaker possible. If this doesn't get to number one in the singles charts I'll be surprised.
This album is one to listen to. I'm sure you already have but you can stream it on Spotify here.
What do you think of thank u, next?
Until next time...
