#SnogYourHeartOut

Hey everyone! About a month ago I mentioned I was down in London filming something very exciting. Well, the time has come to announce what it was all about. I was filming for Snog Frozen Yogurt's new campaign #SnogYourHeartOut which is all about living for what you love, which is why they asked me to take part, as this blog is of course all about what I love. I created a couple of nail art looks for them all based around fruit and love, which you can now see in the film below. You can also see the full film on their social media channels (as it's too big to upload here unfortunately!), it's definitely worth a look and it features one of the summer's hottest new tunes!

Check Snog out on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for the full video with lots of amazing people!

I Whaley Love You

Hey everyone! Sorry about the late valentines post, I decided to spend valentines day off the internet. I finally had some inspiration for some nails and I couldn't wait to do them. I got a birthday card from my friend saying 'have a whaley good time' and it gave me the idea for these valentines nails. I intended to do quite a few punny nails for valentines day this year but ended up not having time, but one design is better than none. Maybe I'll do them anyway, just not for valentines day.

Fathers Day Nail Art for Avon

Hey everyone! Today I have some simple father's day nail art I created for Avon based around my scrabble love letter nails (although of course they were nail wraps, so these aren't quite as perfect). I hadn't realised that it was father's day in countries other than the UK today, but I just googled it and saw that it was, so this wont seem as odd to most of you as it would with mothers day, which always seems to be on different days!

Models Own Nail Art Tool Kit Review + Love Letters Nail Art

Hey everyone! I've been having a few days break from blogging because I feel like most of the stuff I have waiting to show you is pretty low-par, and I just haven't been able to bring myself to edit something that I'm not particularly proud of. I've created a few nail art designs recently that I'm insanely proud of, but they wont be going up for a few weeks as they're work for companies etc. so I only have a few posts I did weeks ago before my exams. Once exams are over next week I hope to create lots and lots of awesome nail art, so I'm sorry if the designs I post this week aren't 100% great, sometimes ideas dont work out as great in my head as they do on my nails.

BUT I do like these nails, I'd completely forgotten I had them hiding away in my Models Own folder as I thought I'd posted everything during review week and I stumbled across them earlier and knew I finally had something worth posting. I was sent the Models Own Nail Art Tool Kit* a few weeks ago and I've actually been using it quite a lot. I used the flat brush for clean up on all my nail art. It came through my postbox at the perfect time in fact because my old one had fallen to pieces only the day before and I was all ready to purchase a new one.

For these nails I used the Detailing Brush, the Striping Brush and the Dotting Tool, along with the Flat Brush for clean up, all of which I was really impressed with. I did cut the detailing brush down a bit, as I always tend to, but otherwise I left them as they were.

Then and Now: Scrabble Love Nails

Hey everyone! Today's post is another then and now post, but it's a little different. You may remember that a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I was the featured artist for Scratch nail wraps this September, and one of the designs they chose to make in to wraps was my scrabble love nails, which for a very long time were my most popular nails ever. I therefore decided it would be quite cool to do a then and now post with the wraps, so it's not really a matter of skill comparison, just photography, but hopefully you still like it! As always the old design will be after the jump

Exciting news!

Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting for a few days, but today I have some exciting news. Next month, I will be the featured nail artist for Scratch nail wraps! This is probably one of the (if not the) most exciting projects I've been part of since starting my blog and I'm incredibly excited for September to begin. My wraps will become available on September the 3rd, but you can pre-order the monthly mani box now here. That includes all 3 wraps (which you can see in the images below) and a bunch of other goodies, including a nail polish, studs, nail file and a secret addition, which even I don't know about! If you like the sound of that you can order it here before the 31st August for just $25

The three designs I will be including are:
-  My Scrabble Love nails, but rather than having a nude background it's translucent and you are therefore able to include any colour you wish underneath, including the colour in the Monthly Mani box.
- My owl nails which you can see here, these are some of my favourite nails that I've ever created and I'm so excited that you can now all have this design too!
- My floral stud nails. Of course the studs can not be part of the wrap, so they are included in the Monthly Mani box instead.

I really hope that you're all as excited about this as I am. If you would like the monthly mani box you can sign up for it here for just $25 before the 31st August. Or if you like the look of just a single nail design, they will be available on the Scratch website on the 3rd September

Oh how I love you... Rob Ryan valentines nails

Hey everyone! I'm very excited to show you today's post as I'm super proud of it. I know I should probably be modest but I love Rob Ryan and I'm so happy to have his work on my nails finally! If you dont know who Rob Ryan is I suggest you do some googling, he's a British artist who does lovely paper cut outs and screenprints which have been transferred onto many things. And you can find his blog here. This year for christmas I got a mug, a calender and a money box. And today's design is based off the money box, which you can see below, but I adapted the text to be more valentines-ey.

I'm really happy with how this design came out, I probably chose a green that was a tad too bright but even so I really think you can tell that they're based on his style. He does a lot of designs with birds and this specific text.

I used a base of OPI - My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and then I added OPI - Greenwich village using a small, cutdown, detailing brush, which I also used for the birds in Barry M - Bright Pink, the birds feathers in white acrylic paint, and the writing in white and black acrylic paint. All topped off with two coats of seche vite.

This picture of the money box was the only one I could find online and I dont feel it shows the colours very well, my nails were pretty accurate to the colours of the money box in reality.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments, I love reading what you have to say!

Scrabble love nail set

So a while ago on tumblr I posted these nails and they became my most popular post ever. I don't really know why because I almost didn't even upload them because the background to the picture annoyed me. Anyway, I decided to redeem that picture by doing them in the form of a new set that's now available on my Etsy.

Back to normality!

So now the challenge is over we can return to normality, although having written all these posts in advance for my 2 week holiday I wouldn't exact call it normal. I'm not one of those bloggers who has a large selection of things still to post, I do my nails and I post them, simple. So it's been pretty stressful to try and get some extra posts sorted for whilst I'm away, but I hope you'll enjoy them.

Today's post came to me accidentally, I was just messing around and this is what I came up with. I actually really like it though I think it would have been even better outlined in black, maybe I'll try it again when I get back from my holiday.

I used Barry M - Blueberry and Matt White + acrylic paints, using a dotting tool for the hearts and a small thin paintbrush for the details. Hope you like them!
