Take a brief look behind the scenes of Good Omens with the cast and creators of Season 2 in a new featurette released by Prime Video. Filmed long before the current actors' and writers' strikes, David Tennant, Michael Sheen, Neil Gaiman and many more talk about what to expect when the show returns to stream on Prime on Friday 28th July.
The new season of Good Omens sees David Tennant and Michael
Sheen return as everyone’s favourite celestial duo Crowley and Aziraphale, who
are now faced with a new mystery and another threat to their comfortable existence
on Earth as they attempt to lay low following their involvement in the
thwarting of the Apocalypse in Season 1.
Season Two explores
storylines that go beyond the original source material, created by Neil Gaiman and the late
Sir Terry Pratchett, to illuminate the
uncanny friendship between fussy angel Aziraphale and the
fast-living demon Crowley. When a naked archangel turns up at the door of
Aziraphale's bookshop, with no memory of who he is or how he got there, his and
Crowley’s lives become extremely complicated. Heaven and Hell are both
desperate to find the runaway. As Crowley and Aziraphale attempt to fix a human
romance, things become increasingly unsafe for them, in the past and the present.
Other returning
cast members include Jon Hamm as archangel Gabriel, Doon Mackichan as archangel
Michael, and Gloria Obianyo as archangel Uriel with Miranda Richardson as demon
Shax and Maggie Service as Maggie. New faces joining the misfits in Heaven and
Hell are Liz Carr as angel Saraqael, Quelin Sepulveda as angel Muriel, and
Shelley Conn as demon Beelzebub.
As an additional treat for the show's loyal fans, Prime promises further releases of behind-the-scenes material, bloopers and deleted scenes, available exclusively via X-Ray from 4th August.
