Always be on the lookout.... by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello friends,

I made an art tag for the project today~ enjoy.

For the tag I started with salvaged patina distress spray. covered the tag and then used a paint brush to watercolor the vintage photo and weathered wood in opposite corners.

Once that was mostly dry, I used a paint brush and picket fence to start to put the clouds in.
You have to let the clouds dry a bit  and then add another layer. Once they are dry you can back with the thicker white high lights.

Next I fussy cut the boy in tub and colored him in using watercolor pencils and rusty hinge DSS.
I added transparent moth wings foe whimsey.
Next I added the phrase sticker. I also added a flat back clear gem to the telescope.
I used foam tape in a double layer to make the boy in tub pop off the tag. and that's it!

Stamps used:
Boy in tub boat    19542

Other supplies:
Transparent moths  TH94403

DSS- Salvaged patina, vintage photo, weathered wood, picket fence

clear flat back bead

Don't waste a moment... by ~*Arwen*~

 Hi peeps ❤

Welcome back :)

Here's my latest card and some pics, how I made it.

I used the Iris Shutter #1911 from Elizabeth Craft Designs. You can find a tutorial video here:

Iris Shutter Tutorial

And that's how I made the final card:

01.) These are all the die cut pieces that I need for my card. Plus black cardstock, onto which everything will be glued at the end.

02.) First I assemble the lens. You can see how this works in the video I posted above.

03.) These 3 parts are now left. The two white parts and the arrow on the lens can now be designed.

04.) To color the background first, I take one of my handmade watercolor paints and color everything that is white.

05.) For the edges I choose a darker tone so that the shading can be clearly seen.

06.) Finally, I design all my pieces with my selected stamps. A saying is still missing here. I first fixed the outer ring with magnets - it will be glued on at the end. I cut the lower part of the card out of black cardstock so that it is a little larger on all edges. I then put the upper part on and mark the section of the circle to place my motif there, which can be seen when you open the lens later.

All stamps, I used:

other supplies:

- Iris Shutter cutting die

- Watercolor paper

Big Ben postcard by Cathy N

Good morning, all Cathy here with a postcard for you today.

I stated out by making the background with some lost shadow distress ink.

Then I stamped Big Ben and the dragon and colored them in with copic markers. I did add some glimmer pens to the dragon wings.

I had part of the moon from another card I made so I added that to the top of the postcard. I edged it all in brown ink. and the last thing I did was add some cloud die cuts.

HALLOWEEN by Tracy Blackwolf

 Hello and Happy Halloween everyone!!

For my blog project today I made a nostalgic card- hope you enjoy!

So I started by stamping the images and then I drew a walkway which ends up getting covered up anyway...

next I sprayed my background colors on and used a paintbrush to guide them where I wanted them. I painted in the jack o lanterns and the house. I used the tip of the brush to add leaves to the trees and ground.

I mostly dried all of that and then added more deeper colors for the depth. I also used picket fence spray stain for fog. it does cool things when you dilute it with a wet brush. so your fog can be as thick or transparent as you want. I also used some oxide sprays on the house.

I then Stamped the kids and cut them out and painted them. I used foam tape on the back so they stand out. also colored the edge of them with a black marker.

I really love the mixed media heavy stock post cards. they can really take a lot of  liquid and manipulation. I tend to soak mine . Given that even drying it with the heat tool, your art will still continue to dry and blend and will look even better the next day.
I finish it by layering the card twice.

I hope you enjoyed~ have a great Halloween!

Stamps used:
House, large       9864
Jack o lanterns along fence    18953
Halloween trio       16850

Other Supplies:
Distress spray stains
Artists loft watercolor marker- neon yellow( lamp post, under jack o lanterns)
Distress spray stain picket fence- for fog
oxide spray stain - old paper- for house

Oops! Sorry....

Hey everyone!

Today I have made a card for those awkward times when you might need to say sorry! I hope you like it!

First I made the background by putting a circle mask on my card, and smooshing it in Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide ink on my mat.

While the mask was still on, I stamped my favourite background stamp in Blueprint Sketch distress ink to give some interest.

I  went round the edge of the mask with Blueprint Sketch, then removed the mask and stamped the main image of the girl in the circle.  I then filled in lightly with Cracked Pistachio.

I went round the edge of the card with Blueprint Sketch, and then added the sentiment with Tim Holtz Idea-ology letters.

Elixir of life tag by Cathy N

Good morning all Cathy here with a tag for you.

                                                                 Stamps Used:

                                                              19798 Coffee cup

                                                              19568 double coffee rings

                                                              7603 drink coffee

                                                              20247 grungy strip of stars

I started out by stamping Coffee cup on 3 different papers. I did 1 for the lid 1 for the base and 1 for the band around the coffee cup.

On the band I stamped grungy strip of stars.

I then made a tag from Halloween paper. I was inspired by Dina Wakley new tags. I then stamped double coffee rings around the tag with some brown distress ink. Ater that I stamped drink coffee saying around the sides of the tag. I edged it with the same brown ink, and I added a tag to the top of the tag.
