Waltzingmouse Stamps - Release Day Blog Hop!

Hello friends and welcome to the August release day blog hop with Waltzingmouse Stamps!  If you're here from Jeanne's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, head over to Claire's blog to get started!  Are you excited for today's release?  What are you going to get?  There's definitely something for every taste today and I can't wait to see what you create with these wonderful sets!

Personally, I just couldn't get enough of these cute little ghosts so I wanted to use Boo and Friends again!  I've been doing a lot of cleaning in my craft room and have a small pile of embellishments and other miscellaneous things on my desk I've vowed to use or throw away and in that pile was a tiny little treat box die cut.  I folded it up, stamped it with some little stars from the set and then stamped and cut out the little trick or treat ghost and adhered it to the box with some foam tape.  Such a cute little treat for a tiny trick or treater!  :)

Next up is the fabulous Karin and here is the rest of the hop order just in case you get lost.  Thanks so much for visiting today and throughout the release previews!

Waltzingmouse August Release Previews - Day Three!

Hello friends and welcome to the second of three days of previews for the Waltzingmouse Stamps August release!  How did you like what you saw from the DT yesterday?  I know I sure loved the previews - so many new ideas!

Today we're getting into a different holiday mode - Halloween!  For my first project, I made a tag using the new Boo and Friends and Peek a Boo Sentiments sets!  I stamped the cut little vampire boo onto white card stock, cut him out and layered him onto a tag covered with some Halloween patterned paper and a chipboard banner.  I finished the tag by stamping a die cut tag with a "boo!" sentiment and adding a little twine to the banner.

My second project uses Great Big Owl which is such a fun set and so versatile!  There are a couple of huge owls in the set and one has an open belly which can be used as a clever book plate!  I stamped this guy using some orange ink and layered him atop some halloween papers and embellishments for this fun card!

Thanks so much for visiting today and be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects!  See you back here tomorrow for the release day blog hop and a chance to win fabulous prizes!  :)

Waltzingmouse August Release Previews - Day Two!

Hello friends and welcome to the second of three days of previews for the Waltzingmouse Stamps August release!  How did you like what you saw from the DT yesterday?  I know I sure loved the previews - so many new ideas!

First up from me today is another wonderful baby set called "Little Darlings Sentiments" that pairs with "Little Darlings" you will see featured by other designers today.  I paired the "for baby" sentiment along with the little bootie from "Vintage Baby Shower" to create a couple of tags perfect for a gift for a special little one.  I cut tags using the "Stitched Tags" dies and layered them together, stamping the little bootie on the smaller one and the sentiment on the larger one.  I finished them differently using sequins and shimmer twine on one and some wooden beads on the other.  I adore how they turned out!

Finally up today is something I had a lot of fun with - a Christmas card using 'Tis the Season!  You will adore this set with its large-scale sentiments!

I heat embossed this large sentiment in white onto some candy cane stripe paper and added some snowflake embellishments and some fun trim.
Thanks so much for visiting today and I'll see you back here tomorrow with something a little spooky!  Hint, hint...  Oh, and be sure to check out the rest of the fabby previews from the DT!

Waltzingmouse August Release Previews - Day One!

Hello friends and welcome to the first of three days of previews for the Waltzingmouse Stamps August release!  I've had such fun creating with these wonderful stamps over the past few weeks and know you will, too!

First up today is the wonderful "Vintage Baby Shower" set!  This set is full of images and sentiments that are perfect to use on shower invitations, thank you cards, or anything baby!  I love the vintage parasol and used that along with the thank you sentiment on this card.

I started off with a cream card base and layered some patterned papers, stamping the lullaby paper with the sentiment and then stamping and cutting out the parasol.  I finished the card with some ribbon and some shimmery twine.

Next up is an awesome set called "Hello Happy Thanks and you can see from my projects that the sentiments can be built using some large words and smaller words in the set.  I love how versatile this will be - feminine or masculine cards!
Thanks so much for visiting today and I'll see you back here tomorrow with something baby and something seasonal!  Be sure to check out the rest of the DT projects -

Be Strong

Hello friends!  Today is my turn at the Waltzingmouse Inspiration blog so I hope you head over there to check out all of the amazing inspiration with Waltzingmouse Stamps.  Instead of just a preview here, I wanted to share the story of little Roscoe Wackerly for whom I made this card.

Little Roscoe was born 3 months premature and is the nephew of a crafty friend of mine, Tifany DeGough.  Little Roscoe has had a pretty rough time the past month and can really use some prayers for healing so that he can live a full and long life.  I check his story every morning when I wake up and every evening before I go to sleep and pray for some wonderful news.  His story has touched my heart in a way I haven't been touched before I I'm really pulling for that little guy.  Makes me hug Amelia tighter and I try to spend more quality time with her every day.

I saw this verse in my Safe Harbour Sentiments set and thought it described his journey perfectly.  I stamped it over a frame I stamped from the Ocean Bound set.  I cut out the little card and added it over some nautical-themed papers.  I finished the card with a banner sticker and some wooden sequins (love those things!)

Here's to you, Roscoe, for making my world a little bit bigger.  And thanks, everyone, for visiting today!

Summertime and Independence Day!

Hello friends!  As you can see, the Inspiration Crew is at it again and this time we are having a little Independence Day blog hop!  There's no reason, really, we're just a group of crafty blog friends making projects we like using supplies we like!  If you're here from Annette's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, head to Donna's blog to get started!

I've been such a bad blogger lately, I thank each and every one of you for sticking by me!  I promise there will be new and more regular posts in the future - it really has taken me this long since Amelia was born to get back into my crafty groove.  :)

For this project, I pulled out a great set of Independence Day-themed stamps from Waltzingmouse and decided to make a little banner using fun, sparkly Twinery twine.  I decided to braid a strand of platinum, blue, and red shimmer together to make the little rope the banner is hanging on.  Yep, finished it at 6am today after Amelia went back to sleep.  Glad one of us could...
Here are a couple of close ups of the smaller banners - I started with white cardstock and stamped all of the images on top.

The fun star was made with two different "kite" shapes in the stamp set that you can cobble together to make this great star!  I cut each of these out separately and adhered them together and popped them off of the banner.

One last thing before I go - I have a giveaway of 60 yards of assorted Twinery twine (15 each of Honeydew, Charcoal, Caribbean, and Blossom stripe)!  All you have to do is leave a comment - anything you want to say or if you're at a loss for words, tell me what things you like to do during the summer!

Off you go to Ceal's blog for more inspiration and here are the rest of todays participants -

Waltzingmouse Stamps - New Release Blog Hop!

Hello friends, today is release day at Waltzingmouse Stamps!  Do you have your lists ready?  I just love the tags and have found them to be so useful - I just know I'll come back to them again and again!  If you're here from Jeanne's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, head over to Claire's blog to get started in on all of the fun!

I've been just smitten with my daughter lately and I think I *might* be ready to start working on her baby book!  I don't know what is taking me so long - maybe that I want it to be so perfect, I just can't get moving on it.  Anyway, I made this card for her.  :)  I cut a Stitched Tag with the largest die in the set and layered it on a couple of patterned papers.  I added the heart cutout from My Heart and the coordinating dies and Amelia Grace's initials from Woodenheart Alphabet.  I finished the card with a big bow and a row of glittered hearts.  Here is my big girl -
Here's to being able to show you some baby book layouts in the near future and the blog hop order just in case you get lost -

Waltzingmouse Stamps - Preview Day 3!

Hello friends and welcome to day 3 of this month's Waltzingmouse Stamps new release previews!  I am in love with the tag theme this month and hope you are loving it, too!  Today we are previewing a brand new die set called "Folding Tag" and it is so versatile!  I'm a layer'r by heart and this is so much fun to work with!
For this project, I started out by cutting the folded tag from a sheet of pink cardstock and found a perfectly matched piece of patterned paper which I added to the front.  I also layered one of the medium stitched tags to the front using a brad and added a stamped heart from the "My Heart" stamp set and cut it out with the coordinating die
See how the brad makes a perfect little swing for the front of the tag?!  I thought that was pretty clever! :)  I cut out another tag from the Folding Tag set and used that on the interior which I stamped with a sentiment from the My Heart set.  Perfect for Valentine's Day or any other lovey theme you can think of!  In this last photo you can also see the little notch where the folded part of the tag hooks in.  Very cool!

Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you have a chance to check out the other inspiration from the DT -

Waltzingmouse Stamps - Preview Day 2!

Hello friends and welcome to the second day of previews for the new release at Waltzingmouse Stamps!  Did you love what you saw yesterday?  I sure did - I am so inspired by what the DT created with the new stamps!  As you probably guessed, there are wonderful new dies to go along with the tag theme this month.  Oops, did I say dies??  Hmmm…  :)

Today we are showcasing a fabulous new die set called "Stitched Tag" and I have already used it for so many things I'll have coming up here on the blog in the next little while.  LOVE them!  One of the things I've been doing is cutting all three tag sizes out of whatever cardstock or paper I'm using - they all line up perfectly for a run through the Cuttlebug.  That way I can layer them or I have extras for later.  Perfect!

For this tag, I went with the layered look.  I took the large die and cut out a white tag which I stamped with one of the sentiments from the set and then layered a striped tag and another white tag on top which I covered with a "HB2U" sentiment made from small alphas.  The die set even comes with the little reinforcer circle which is a really fun addition.

Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you have a chance to check out the other inspiration from the DT -

Waltzingmouse Stamps - Preview Day 1!

Hello friends and welcome to the April release at Waltzingmouse Stamps!  This week we've got some really fun stuff to show you and I hope you will enjoy looking at the previews as much as I had creating them!

Today we are previewing a new stamp set called "Tag Collection 1" and I had fun making something other than tags with it - I made this cute little decorated canister, perfect for a birthday or Mother's Day gift!
I started off with a simple tin canister with a pry off lid (kinda like a mini paint can.)  I took some strong double-sided tape and wrapped it with some patterned paper.
I took the lid and cut out a couple of circles of coordinating papers and stamped one of the sentiments from the set on the smaller circle.  I glued this to the lid of the canister.
I took a journaling card from the paper collection and stamped it with one of the images from the set and adhered it to the paint can.  I finished the can with some die cut butterflies and a cute little bee!
Thank you so much for visiting today and here is a list of the other DT members participating today -

LOVE

Welcome to the Mother's Day Inspiration Blog Hop!  If you're here from Libby's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, head over to Donna's blog to get started!  Be sure to check out all the blogs listed below for tons of crafty Mother's Day Inspiration.
While my project isn't a traditional Mother's Day card, it is a card inspired by and for my mom!  I've had so much fun chatting with her lately about raising kids and am finding out that Amelia is very much like I was at her age.  My mom read a funny bit from her baby journal from when I was 7 months old and it said "likes to stand in the crib and scream at night."  Oops… sorry, mom!  :)  Anyway, my mom loves to sew and quilt and I thought this was perfectly inspired by her!

I started off with a piece of ledger patterned paper which I stamped with a stitched heart stamp.  I then took several different checked and polka-dot patterned background stamps to create the red squares and punched them out with a scallop punch.  I layered some Scrabble piece chipboard letters on top of the little "quilt" squares and then stamped the "always" sentiment underneath.  I think she will love it!

Off you go to Ceal's blog!  Have a great day and thank you so much for visiting!

Waltzingmouse Stamps - February Release Blog Hop!

Hello friends and welcome to release day!  If you are hopping from Jeanne's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, head over to Claire's blog to get started!

I hope you've had fun during the previews the past few days - I sure have!  There were so many neat tips and tricks the DT used for their projects (who can forget the vellum or the yummy Sakura markers?!), I know I'll be incorporating some into my future projects!

For my project today, I made a gift bag for a new parent of a baby boy!  I took a white gift bag and gussied it up with some patterned paper and a little banner trimmed with some rhinestones.  I added some little wooden shapes and tied on a tag stamped with one of the fabulous sentiment from the set.

As a new mom myself, I know how valuable this little handmade gift card is…  :)
I took one of the coordinating papers from the collection and made a wee envelope using the new envelope die and added a card (cut from the gift card die) stamped with words that would be absolute heaven to my ears!  Are you listening, honey?!  :)  I think it would make an adorable gift for a new parent complete with something for baby inside of the bag.  Cute!

In all seriousness, I am getting a "mom's day out" on Sunday with my friend Jamie and we're going for brunch and pedis before the Oscars.  On such a glam day, we all deserve a little bit of pampering, right?

And, one last shot of the little…We had a photographer come to the house for a little shoot in December.  Be still my heart.
Here are the rest of the DT participating in today's hop!  Thanks so much for visiting today!
