Nourish London Skincare Kale 3D Cleanse and Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser reviews

Hi guys! I'm here today with another natural skincare duo. Regular readers will most likely know that I have a soft spot for natural skincare and I love products that are good for the environment as well as for the skin, so I'm really happy to be bringing another natural skincare brand to the blog.

Nourish London Skincare Kale 3D Cleanse and Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser

Nourish is a British brand that focuses on organic, vegan and cruelty-free skincare. The two products that I have to show you today are the Nourish Kale 3D Cleanse and the Nourish Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser.

The Kale 3D Cleanse is a unique, colour changing facial cleanser that provides you with a deep cleanse that removes impurities and makeup, refreshes the skin and protects against pollution. It contains Supercharged Kale and Griffonia to detoxify the skin, minimise signs of ageing and to protect against pollutants as well as Hyaluronic acid, oxygenating extracts and probiotics to refresh and energise.

The Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser is created as an anti-ageing, hydrating moisturiser, suitable for all skin types. It includes a blend of skin nourishing oils such as jojoba, sunflower and most importantly, argan. It also includes a blend of essential oils (discussed further on in the review), Vitamin E and collagen boosting tripeptides.

Both products are multi-award winning with the Kale 3D Cleanse holding the Gold Award as Best Cleanser from The Green Parent Natural Beauty Awards 2017 accolade amongst others and the Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser sporting the Best Anti-Ageing product achievement from The Beauty Bible Awards 2015 alongside others.

Both the Kale 3D Cleanse and the Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser come packaged in sleek, glass bottles with twist open pump lids (which cuts down on plastic waste for lid covers). The Kale 3D Cleanse holds either 30ml or 100ml of product and the Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser holds 50ml. The packaging on both looks and feels luxurious with a weight to them.

I'm going to begin by discussing the Kale 3D Cleanse and then I will move onto the Argan Skin Renew Moisturiser.

Hi guys! CBD has been incorporating itself into the beauty world a lot lately and you're beginning to see it in every type of product from lip balm to shampoo. Today we're going to talk a little bit about why it is such a big beauty ingredient right now and also review a range of CBD skincare products from a UK based CBD brand - Naturecan.

Naturecan CBD Beauty Range

This post is going to feature a collection of six Naturecan CBD beauty products: the Naturecan Nourish Multi-Use Balm, Hydrate Moisturiser, Restore Hand Cream, Lip Balm, Lavender Massage Oil and the Purify Clay Mask. Each of the products contains CBD along with a range of other beneficial, natural ingredients which vary by product.

For those of you who don't yet know too much about what CBD is or how it can help with our skin, I'll do a quick explanation of what it is and how it helps and also provide links for you to read more about it.

CBD is short for cannabidiol which is an extract of the cannabis plant. The oil is extracted and filtered so that the remaining oil is free of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol - the psychoactive part of cannabis that causes the 'high') meaning that it is non-addictive and has zero psychoactive effects. This allows you to receive all of the benefits of the CBD with no THC effects.

CBD has many positive effects when ingested (pain relief, good for anxiety and so on - read here for more on this), but for the sake of this post we're going to focus in on the benefits of its inclusion in skincare products.

" On the surface, CBD delivers a chemical-free way to fight breakouts and inflammation, but it also offers a promising solution to tackling more stubborn, recurring issues. In a study published in the Journal of Dermatological Science, researchers found that when CBD was applied to human skin cells, it actually inhibited the overproduction of keratinocytes (specific skin cells) that are commonly seen in psoriasis. This is further evidence to support CBD working to realign bodily processes that may be adversely affecting the quality of your skin, including its softness, cleanliness, and ability to retain important moisture." - Naturecan

And for those who may be suffering with acne, here is some further good news:

" Based on recent scientific studies, CBD oil may help treat acne due to the anti-inflammatory properties explored earlier, and how this is linked to the body’s ability to reduce sebum production. One test-tube study found that CBD oil prevented sebaceous gland cells from secreting excessive sebum, exerted anti-inflammatory actions and prevented the activation of ‘pro-acne’ agents like inflammatory cytokines.4 This offers some proof to the claim that the CBD found in skin products, dependant on their strength and quality, can not only help maintain the balance your body needs but actually help to reverse life-altering condition such as acne." - Naturecan

As I've got a lot of products to cover in this post, I'm going to keep my reviews of each individual product fairly brief and focus more on the range overall. I'll begin by discussing the common traits of the range before moving onto each product individually and then summarising with my thoughts on the range together at the end.

Naturecan CBD Beauty Range

All of the Naturecan products that are featured in today's post are natural, vegan products. As stated in the intro, they are all guaranteed to be free of THC and are GMO free.

The range is packaged in simple, white, plastic packaging with the Naturecan logo in green and other product info in dark grey.

Hey guys! Who doesn't love a bit of luxury in their lives? Luxury skincare in particular can really make us feel great. There’s something about the use of it as well as the results, isn’t there? You just feel really good using it. It’s a hard to explain feeling. Well today I’m bringing some beautifully luxurious skincare products to the blog (seriously, they all have luxurious in the name and everything) made around one of the most sought after and exquisite essential oils in the world: Bulgarian rose oil.

Lexira Luxurious Day Cream Light Formula, Night Emulsion, Eye Serum and Rich Moisturizing Body Butter

Lexira is a brand that you may not have heard of before, but is one you should take notice of. The main ingredient in their entire range is organically grown Bulgarian rose oil which is a well sought after essential oil in the beauty industry. It is renowned for its skin reviving effects. Bulgarian rose oil hydrates, smoothes and soothes the skin and is an anti-inflammatory and an antioxidant.

Rather than importing this oil for use elsewhere, Lexira have utilised this oil on their doorstep to bring you the purest and best Bulgarian rose oil in their products and they are manufactured by hand in Bulgaria.

The products I have to share with you today are the Lexira Luxurious Day Cream Light Formula, Luxurious Night Emulsion, Luxurious Eye Serum and Rich Moisturizing Body Butter.

The Lexira Luxurious Day Cream Light Formula is a lightweight moisturiser that is designed for humid conditions. I would also say this is a moisturiser that is suitable for all skin types, including oily/blemish prone. Alongside the Bulgarian Rose Oil, this moisturiser contains oat extract for moisture retention, toning and tightening, argan, sesame and macadamia oils for hydration and nourishment, and green tea and Arninca Montana to invigorate and stimulate micro circulation.

The Lexira Luxurious Night Emulsion is formulated with a range of precious oils and natural extracts to create an intensively nourishing and hydrating night time moisturiser. Alongside the Bulgarian rose oil, the Night Emulsion contains argan and almond oils for cell regeneration, sesame oil for elastin production and cleansing properties, Shea butter for smoothing and softening and oat extract for tightening, toning and retaining moisture.

The Lexira Luxurious Eye Serum contains a concentrated amount of ingredients similar to the Night Emulsion, except that it also boasts micro algae extract to reduce puffiness around the eyes and to tighten the area. It is also designed to intensely hydrate the sensitive skin around the eyes.

The Lexira Rich Moisturizing Body Butter is a long-lasting blend of butters and oils to provide incredible hydration for even the driest of skin. As well as the rose oil, this Body Butter is enriched with Shea butter and argan, olive and almond oils.

When I received this amazing box of goodies, I also received a lot of samples. Because of this, I handed some out to people close to me to try out for some extra feedback. Hopefully this will make the reviews more well-rounded and informative for you all!

Additionally, I can mention a few other products that I sampled at the end. I won’t be able to give a full on review for those products, but at least I can give them a mention if you’re interested in the brand and their range.

O'Keeffe's Skin Repair Body Lotion, Healthy Feet Foot Cream, Working Hands Hand Cream and Unscented Lip Repair and Protect Lip Balm

O’Keeffe’s provide a whole range of body care products that are designed to solve a collection of skincare issues. They have lip balms to heal up extremely dry and cracked lips, a foot cream to heal and moisturise hard skin on the feet, a hand cream to banish the rough and painful skin on your hands and a body lotion to conquer eczema, itching skin and extra dry patches. All of this at nice and affordable prices. Sounds great, right?

They started creating these products back in 1990 when Tara O’Keeffe saw the discomfort her father, Bill O'Keeffe, was in with his dry skin that was caused by rigorous, hard work. She managed to use her skills as a pharmacist alongside her father’s help to create a cream that worked for him, and this became the Working Hands Hand Cream reviewed here today.

From there, they went on to include the rest of the range of products that will be shown in this post over the years.

They’re all packaged in brightly coloured bottles, a different colour for each product and some of the products are available in different sizes.

Luvenesco Hydrating Cream review

Hey guys! I've spoken a few times about my love of retinol products. They're so good at healing breakouts, evening out the skin and of course, reducing the signs of ageing. Well, today I have another one to share with you all!

Luvenesco Hydrating Cream

The Luvenesco Hydrating Cream is a moisturiser that is designed to not only hydrate, as the name states, but it also helps to reduce the signs of ageing such as fine lines and wrinkles, as well as uneven skin tone and spots. It contains Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, Vitamin A (retinol), Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter and Orange Essential Oil, but it is free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates, petrochemicals, gluten, lactin and GMO ingredients.

All Luvenesco products are cruelty free and made in the UK.

It comes packaged in a black, screw cap pot that holds 50ml of product. The product itself is quite light in consistency and is bright white in colour.

Amie Morning Dew Matte Finish Moisturiser review

If you're looking for a skincare brand that is natural and paraben, mineral oil and animal cruelty free that also doesn't cost the earth, then this is one to take a look at.

Amie Morning Dew Matte Finish Moisturiser

The Amie Morning Dew Matte Finish Moisturiser has a pretty self explanatory name. It is a facial lotion that leaves a silky smooth, matte finish to the skin.

It has a 90.8% natural formula that promises to provide sufficient hydration yet leave the skin free of excess oil. It contains organic rosehip and bilberry, Vitamin E, natural plant sugars, lemon fruit extract and orange blossom to nourish, protect against pollution and sun damage, act as an antiseptic and clarify.

This is a moisturiser that I've seen cropping up a lot and I have therefore been wanting to test it for a while. Then, when I was close to purchasing it ready to finally give it a whirl for the blog, a sample appears in my August Birchbag. Talk about great timing!

It comes packaged in a pale yellow squeezy tube and the product inside is also a pale yellow lotion. It has a clean, kind of soapy smell to it.

Louise Galvin Sacred Skin Hand & Body Lotion review

By now it's no secret that I love a multitasking product that is quick and simple to use. I also love great skincare products, and when these things are all ticked off at once I know it's usually something worth talking about.

Louise Galvin Sacred Skin Hand & Body Lotion

Whilst Louise Galvin is probably better known for her haircare products, today I'm reviewing the Sacred Skin Hand and Body Lotion, a moisturiser that promises to leave the skin silky soft and smooth whilst keeping the skin's natural moisture balance in check.

It contains avocado oil and almond oil to soothe and moisturise dry skin while being gentle enough for sensitive skin. It is also a natural product that is free of SLS, silicones, petrochemicals, parabens, polymers and synthetic fragrances. Louise Galvin products are also cruelty free.

It comes packaged in a white, rectangular bottle that holds 300ml of product with a pump lid for easy dispensing. The lotion itself is white in colour also.

Australian Bodycare Facial Wash, Spot Stick, Hand and Foot Cream, Tea Tree Oil and Facial Cream reviews

Last week on the blog I reviewed four products from the Australian Bodycare range and I made a promise at the end that a second post featuring more products would be on the way. Well, here it is!

Australian Bodycare Facial Wash, Pure Tea Tree Oil, Facial Cream, Spot Stick and Hand and Foot Cream

Today I will be looking at five more products from Australian Bodycare, including the Facial Cream, Hand and Foot Cream, Facial Wash, Spot Stick and Pure Tea Tree Oil that are all part of the Apothecary range and feature together in this fabulous gift set (you can find the purchase link at the end).

I won’t go into too much detail about the ins and outs of the brand in this post as to not repeat myself, so see this post as a part 2. So let’s jump right into it!

Yin Yang pH Amino Gold Defence Lotion review

Oily skin can be a nightmare to deal with. Even though there are so many products that are targeted to those of us who do have to deal with it, so frequently you can find yourself hitting brick wall after brick wall as one product that works for one person may not work as well for you. To help you on your search, today I'm reviewing a moisturiser that I have recently been trying out.

Yin Yang Skincare pH Amino Gold Defence Lotion

The Yin Yang Skincare Gold Defence Lotion is a lightweight moisturiser that helps to provide protection from wind and sun damage and can be used on both the face and the body. It can also be used as a daily moisturiser for those with oily skin.

It contains Wheat Germ Oil which is rich in fatty acids and Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, Apple Cider Vinegar, Witch Hazel and Lavender and Sweet Orange oils and is free of parabens, artificial fragrances and other chemical additives.

As I explained in my previous post, I love a multitasking beauty product, and I classify this as being one as it isn’t just a moisturiser for oily skin. As Yin Yang explain, this lotion is loved by "athletes, mountaineers, skiers, swimmers and equestrians, who have found it provides excellent protection for the skin from sun & wind damage". Whilst I am none of those, I do have oily skin. Therefore I have been using this lotion as a daily moisturiser as part of my morning routine.

I currently have a small, 10ml sample to test, but the full size comes bottled up in sizes ranging from 200ml-1000ml. The product itself is a cloudy white, watery lotion.

Cowshed Gorgeous Cow Blissful Body Lotion review

The right moisturiser can be really important in your skincare routine, but do you know what can make it that little bit better? Skincare that also helps to alleviate your mood.

Cowshed have a whole collection of different products that not only take care of you on the outside, but help to keep you perky mentally. The Gorgeous Cow Blissful Body Lotion is one of the products in the Gorgeous Cow range that carry the floral blend of ylang-ylang, rose and palmarosa to help evoke happiness as well as lavender and linden blossom to soothe. I received this little beauty in my January Birchbox (a good one for the start of the year, you can subscribe here!) and I couldn’t wait to review it all for you here on the blog. Cowshed is a brand that I have been desperate to try out for a while due to being a big fan of natural skincare as well as aromatherapy.

The bottle that I have is a 100ml bottle, but the full-size comes with 300ml of Body Lotion. It comes packaged in a plastic tube with a black flip cap lid. It has a cream-coloured sticker covered with beautiful red flowers around the middle that contains the product information around it. The product itself is white and creamy.

AA Skincare Lavender & Tea Tree Moisturising Face Lotion review

When we look for new skincare products, we want something that works, and works hard. However, working hard doesn't have to mean being harsh.

AA Skincare's Lavender & Tea Tree Moisturising Face Lotion is a lightweight, naturally antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal and antiseptic moisturising lotion, meaning that it is perfect for those who suffer with blemishes or other facial skin conditions. In addition to moisturising, it also helps to tone and restore the skin.

AA Skincare Lavender & Tea Tree Moisturising Face Lotion

With 30 years of experience in making skincare products, sourcing only the best essential oils for the job, AA Skincare promise that this is a calming and soothing lotion - without all the harsh ingredients.

In addition to lavender and tea tree, it also contains rosehip oil (which is high in Vitamin C), grapeseed oil, panthenol (derived from Vitamin B produced by plants), glycerin and sunflower oil (which is high in Vitamin E).

Cattier Fleur d’Émulsion Mattifying Day Care Moisturiser review

Oily or combination skin can be a pain to deal with. There are some mattifying moisturisers out there that can make oily skin appear worse after a while or even some that do nothing at all, but one of the things I personally look for is a moisturiser that simply balances the skin. Something that doesn't necessarily make your skin matte and dull, but something that just regulates excess oil without going a step too far.

Cattier Fleur d'Émulsion Mattifying Day Care Moisturiser for Oily or Combination Skin

Cattier's Fleur d’Émulsion Mattifying Day Care for oily to combination skin claims to do just that. It has a powdery texture and it moisturises whilst rebalancing the epidermis. It's a natural product that contains organic anti-oxidant hazelnut oil, organic shea butter, masterwort flower extract, Phycosaccharide (brown alga extract) and organic aloe vera to intensely moisturise as well as mattify (along with the help of Silica).

It is also non-comedongenic which means that it doesn't clog up the pores.

The Body Shop Body Sorbet & Aqua Boost Sorbet reviews

The new Body Shop Body Sorbet’s and the new Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet are a new range of body moisturiser and facial moisturiser respectively. They provide a cooling sensation upon application with a frosty gel like formula.

The Body Sorbet’s contain aloe vera to provide 24-hour hydration and are made with a break through formula that instantly melts onto the skin to provide a fresh burst of moisture. The Aqua Boost Sorbet contains wheatgerm oil and Aqua Sphere technology, which is made up of microscopic spheres of moisture that are capable of holding up to hundreds of times their weight in water to provide your skin with instant and long-lasting hydration.

11 Uses for One Love Organics Skin Savior Waterless Beauty Balm

One Love Organics Skin Savior Waterless Balm is a multi-use balm made up of a range of oils, extracts and wax. Every single oil and extract is plant based, cold-pressed and blended into this beautiful balm. The extracts and oils are able to clear out all of the dirt in your pores without stripping the protective layer of skin.

I have mentioned this cream a couple of times previously in my Top 10 Mulitasking Beauty Products post as well as my Birchbox April 2014 review. It arrived as part of my April Birchbox and I have become obsessed with it!

As I explained in my top 10 post, multitasking products are fantastic for busy mums because they're just so darn convenient! Plus, think of the money you save when you have one product that you can use for everything!

From this, I decided to set myself a challenge to find as many uses for this balm as I possibly could and write about how each method worked out.

Clinique Anti-Blemish All-Over Clearing Lotion.

Clinique's Anti-Blemish All-Over Clearing Lotion is a daily use, clearing, hydrating lotion for blemish-prone skin. It also helps to mattify the skin without drying it out.

First of all, I would like to apologise for the delay in this post. It was planned for yesterday but due to Airport issues on my Mac wreaking havoc on my Internet access, it didn't go to plan.

Today’s post is going to be half story and half review. Over Easter, I was thinking about going for an Easter theme, so I started coming up with ideas that would follow it. However, none of the ideas I came up with felt ‘right.’

Then, as I was going through my morning routine, I absentmindedly picked up a sample of Clinique’s Anti-Blemish All-Over Clearing Lotion to use and it came to me; resurrection.

That probably means nothing to you at this point, but allow me to explain.

L'Occitane Shea Butter Extra-Gentle lotion for hands & body.

L'Occitane is one of my favourite brands. Therefore, a product from them that has multiple usage is going to get snapped up by me.

Being a mother, multiple use products are fantastic to have around. There is less messing around between products and everything is less cluttered!
