Motel Rocks Blogger Party

A couple of Thursdays ago your social networking feeds may have been bombarded with photos hashtagging #MotelRocksTheParty and this event was the reason why!  Motel always throw the best blogger parties so I was over the moon to receive an invite to the latest one held in Pro Green's club, INK.  The cocktails were flowing and there was plenty to do - from having your nails painted by The Illustrated Nail girls, getting multicoloured locks from the Urban Fudge team, indulging in some yoomoo frozen yoghurt, browsing the latest Motel collection or taking too many tipsy mirror selfies in the toilet. It was lovely to see some of my blogger friends again, and to meet the lovely Laura, Leanne & Victoria!  Big thanks to the Motel team for putting on such a great party and heres to more events in the future!

Motel Rocks 90's Press Day

So the Motel Rocks 90's blogger party was on Wednesday, I'd been so excited about the event since I received my mixtape invitation and I met up with Leanne (whom I went to Missguided with) and Hannah before and walked into the Motel showroom which had been transformed into a typical 90's girls bedroom, complete with Polly Pockets, Dream Phone and even a lava lamp!  There were also a load of posters featuring 90's celebs like The Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears before she went a bit nuts!  I was greeted with a slushie, and later had a Hooch (which are so nice!) and there was some sushi to nibble on as well as sweets like flying saucers, sherbet and pop tarts.

There were a couple of different stations dotted around, including a Colour Xtreme stand where bloggers had their hair sprayed pretty colours, a Skin Art stand where I got a little glittery star on my face and other bloggers got temporary tattoos, then I got some henna done by Madina Henna Designs.  I've never had it done before but I love it so much, one of my friends actually thought I got a tattoo!

Anyway, onto the collection!  There were a few different themes running through the clothes, including cyber dreams, which included trippy monochrome prints and after dark which was decadent lace and heavy sequins.  There was also a ton of graphic prints revolving around a krishna theme which I loved, and even a dress with a pegasus on it!  Finally, it wouldn't have been a 90's themed press day without tie dye, and there certainly was rainbow colours galore!

After the Motel event I went to the AX Paris blogger party, but I'm going to post that separately as I don't want to overload you with photos!  Anyway, a massive thank you to Selina and the rest of the Motel Rocks team for organising such an awesome day, I had a blast and it's always nice to meet some new bloggers!

HAUL // Motel Rocks & Spring Fever with Palmers

All items c/o Motel Rocks.

Both Palmers items c/o Motel Rocks

Brenda fishnet dress // £45 // Motel Rocks

Demi paisley dungarees // £48 // Motel Rocks

I literally cannot express how in love I am with Motel Rocks' new line, the paisley and monochrome designs are so awesome, and I'm over the moon with the two items I got.  The Brenda fishnet dress is lined which saves me having to find a dress to wear underneath, but has an open back which is so feminine and flattering which I really love.  As for the dungarees, the possibilities of styling it up are endless!  The print is so dainty and I feel the piece really modernises the traditional porcelain design.

I also received some Palmers goodies with my items, and they both smell incredible!  The lip balm is cherry and chocolate scented, with a pretty red tint to it, and not to mention it tastes really good (although I don't think eating it is the best idea).  The gradual tanning moisturiser is right up my street, in that I'm not really a big fan of using self tanners, purely because of the countless bad experiences I've had with fake tan!  This moisturiser smells delicious and will get my legs nice and brown for the upcoming summer!

Finally, I will be attending the Motel Rocks A/W 13 press day on Wednesday so if you're going to be there as well feel free to tweet me, I'd love to meet some new bloggers!  If you're going to be there make sure you say hi as well, I don't bite! :D

HEART SHAPED BRUISES

Dress* // Motel Rocks
Bracelet* // Native Feathers
Spike Damsels // Jeffrey Campbell
Clutch // Lulu Guinness
Rings // Rachael Sudlow, Native Feathers*, Regal Rose, Market stalls

I was meant to post this look on Valentines day (as I think it's all nice and Valentines-y) but I didn't have time unfortunately, but better late than never I guess!  I received this gorgeous dress from Motel Rocks and I'm head over heels in love with it.  It's totally on trend at the moment with everyone going crazy for monochrome and what's great about it is that I can wear it out or just as a day dress!  I wanted to accessorize simplistically, but with a splash of colour, so borrowed my mums Lulu Guinness lips clutch and think it goes so well, just wish I had one of my own!
