SIRIM Resumes 2-Time Surveillance Audits per Year

To fulfill the requirement of Product Certification Scheme, SIRIM has resumed the requirement of two surveillance audits for each SIRIM certificate from this year. Online factory audits are no longer accepted. SIRIM has also allowed their auditors to conduct factory audits in China. Only those complete surveillance audit twice can renew their SIRIM certificate. Two surveillance audits, at least one must be a physical factory audit and the other could be physical factory audit or warehouse inspection. Warehouse Inspection is a physical inspection conducted by SIRIM auditors at the customer's warehouse in Malaysia to confirm the validity of the test report, SIRIM sticker, marking of product, etc.
