Hoi Blackburn--what you reverted is a longtime abuser. I doubt they'll be using those IPs again, but I'm blocking one of them anyway--this person doesn't live in Bangladesh. I don't know if you can place global blocks; if you can, please do. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 21:15, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- I had sneakily prepared a filter to autoblock his IPs whenever he posts his rants, that seemed like a better solution to me. I'm not really familiar with the LTA but I don't think the Bangladesh IP is related though.. - XXBlackburnXx (talk) 13:25, 23 July 2024 (UTC)

I think you must have noticed the site has fallen, and can't get up.
It has been about five weeks. The site went down, unexpectedly, 3 or 4 years ago, and remained down for about a week or ten days, only to come up again, after all. The site owner, who is quite hands-off, never provided an explanation.
Although I was trusted to be one of the two administrators there, I don't have his email address.
I did some googling, and found some comments about the outage, including that the site's traffic spiked five-fold shortly before it went down. Someone wrote that the vandals complained to the firm managing the site's traffic that the site was a hate site, and claimed this was why it went down. Of course the site wasn't a hate site.
Of course, since you weren't creating new content there, the site's outage wouldn't matter to you. Even so, if you had heard any rumours, I'd appreciate you sharing them with me. Do I have your permission to share them with the handful of genuine content creators whose emails I know?

- I haven't heard anything from WikiAlpha since it went down, to be very honest. I think that The site owner, who is quite hands-off contributes to that, since abuse reports probably weren't dealt with quickly enough, but that's just a rough guess.
