Hello, I kindly ask if you can change the mark up of the links in this site. The links of the forms change their numbers according to the language so this marking doesn't work: {{Blue button|text=<translate><!--T:10--> Solicita una beca completa aquí</translate>|elink=https://wikimedistasuy.limesurvey.net/982325?lang={{TRANSLATIONLANGUAGE}}}}.

The form for the portuguese page is this: https://wikimedistasuy.limesurvey.net/995779?lang=pt-BR.

Could you be able to make this change? Thank you very much in advance. Best, --Paula (WDU) (talk) 16:00, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Done I have added translation units for the links so you can localize them. -- Pols12 (talk) 20:46, 3 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Apologies for failing to notice that they were different. That situation is very unusual, and the page was so badly prepared (in other ways) that I did a full markup clean. * Pppery * it has begun 02:31, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you both, @Pols12 and @Pppery. Is there a page with good examples of mark ups for translation? I would like to learn how to do it myself. Paula (WDU) (talk) 14:35, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
See Meta:Internationalization guidelines. Although now that two of our regular tadmins have touched it that page itself is now a decent example. * Pppery * it has begun 15:07, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Pppery Hi, i would like to kindly ask for help in the meta page of the conference. We have a banner for the page in Spanish and one in Portuguese. We would like that the banner in Portuguese is linked in the following templates: Template:Huaraz header/pt-br and Template:Huaraz header/pt. Right now the templates in Portuguese are linked to the Spanish banner. Can you do it? Thank you very much in advance. Cheers, Car (WAPerú) (talk) 00:53, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Done. * Pppery * it has begun 00:55, 13 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Dear @Pppery, I have updated the page and subpages in Spanish of Conferencia Justicia climática Perú 2024. Could you please mark this versions for translation into Portuguese? Best regards, Car (WAPerú) (talk) 02:50, 18 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Mark up for translation

[edit]

Hello, admins! Please, I kindly ask you to mark Mais_Mulheres_em_Teoria_da_História_na_Wiki and its related pages for translation. Thank you very much in advance Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 19:52, 18 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+), is that page written in Portuguese (pt) or Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br)? --Pols12 (talk) 11:15, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello, @Pols12! Thanks for your reply. The page is written in Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br)! Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 12:14, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi, @Pols12! I saw that you made the markup for the translation on the main page! Thank you very much. Could you do the same for the following pages?
Projeto_Mais_Teoria_da_História_na_Wiki/Sobre
Projeto Mais Teoria da História na Wiki/Contato
Wikipédia:Projeto Mais Teoria da História na Wiki/Mais Mulheres 2024/Editatona presencial
Wikipédia:Projeto Mais Teoria da História na Wiki/Mais Mulheres 2024/Webinar
Wikipédia:Projeto Mais Teoria da História na Wiki/Mais Mulheres 2024/Programação de oficinas
Wikipédia:Projeto Mais Teoria da História na Wiki/Mais Mulheres 2024/Concurso de edição Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 13:54, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Main of the work actually had been made by Chqaz 🙂 I’m working on the other pages. --Pols12 (talk) 14:13, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Done Please tell me if there are any issue. -- Pols12 (talk) 18:49, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Everything is excellent! Thank you very much :) Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 21:59, 19 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Pols12, hello again! How can I change the image of this template to a version translated into English, like here? Sorry for taking your time once again. Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 18:38, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Oh, I missed (again) to change language to pt-br for this template. I have added file name as a translatable unit, so you can change it from usual Translate tool. --Pols12 (talk) 19:39, 21 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello, @Pols12! Thank you very much once again for the modification! I noticed that the clickable "back" button was incorporated into the header template. Thus, the button is also present on the main page. However, the idea of the "back" button is to redirect to the main page. Therefore, it is redundant to have the back button on the main page. I didn't want to make this adjustment myself because I understand that it will also change the template in English. Should you make this adjustment, or should I do it myself? Thanks! Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 13:24, 22 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Pols12 Additionally, we need to translate the footer as well, the titles above the logos. Can you create a template /en for that too? Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 13:32, 22 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Vsdetoni Please review this diff before we mark again the page for translation, because I’m not sure whether we are in the good version after the edit war.
For header, I have added a condition to exclude Back button from home page. About footer, I have marked the headings for translation; please tell me if you need some logos to be localizable too. --Pols12 (talk) 23:20, 24 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hello, @Pols12! We are indeed having problems with vandalism on our page. Thank you very much for notifying us about this one as well! Thanks also for the adjustments on my requests. Could I ask you for a few more small things? Could you set the header to Brazilian Portuguese so we can translate it into English? Additionally, could you: 1) correct the redirection of the main page in English to the "learn more about the project" page (it is redirecting to the page in Portuguese)?; 2) mark the entire information box of the workshops page for translation, including the titles "dia," "horário," "duração," "intervalo," etc.?; 3) I would also like to be able to hyperlink to the meta user page the names of the facilitators listed in the workshop "boxes". Thank you very much for your support. Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 13:07, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
  • 0. The header is already set in Brazilian Portuguese. “English” translations were automatic, you may want to review them. My error.
  1. I have just added Special:MyLanguage prefix.
  2. The information box titles are translatable at Template:Mais_Teoria_da_História_na_Wiki/Oficina.
  3. You can add wikilinks at Wikipédia:Projeto Mais Teoria da História na Wiki/Mais Mulheres 2024/Programação de oficinas, turning |Facilitadora1 = Bob into |Facilitadora1 = [[user:WikiBob1|Bob]]
--Pols12 (talk) 23:00, 25 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Pols12Pols12, thank you for your tireless support! I'm sorry if some requests are things I could be doing myself. I'm a beginner in the Wikimedia universe.
We made some final updates to the pages and would like to know if you could once again do the marking for translation. We have added more images and would also like to be able to add the translated images to the English version.
Ah, I remembered one thing. In my last contact with you, I mentioned an adjustment in the header, but I was referring to the footer. Could you, therefore, make the titles above the logos in the footer translatable? Thank you once again. Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 18:07, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Done at Template:Mais Teoria da História na Wiki/RodapéMaisMulheres2024. Please note “English” translation is only an automatic copy of Portuguese source, because I again forgot to change language before marking the page. -- Pols12 (talk) 17:56, 30 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi, @Pols12! We made some new updates on the page. Can you mark it for translation for us? We also made changes to the Template

Thank you very much, @Aafi! Could you do the same for the pages related to the main page? Vsdetoni (Projeto Mais+) (talk) 17:27, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Restrict unfuzzy rights on Meta

[edit]

Per the logs, there have been four instances in the last few days of IPs marking a translation that is clearly still outdated as no longer outdated. Similar to what MediaWiki.org did, I would suggest that Meta restrict this permission to autoconfirmed. * Pppery * it has begun 17:50, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

No opposition as for me, if it is useful. Thank you for opening the discussion. -- Pols12 (talk) 19:33, 20 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Mark up for translation

[edit]

Good day! Could someone mark WikiWomen_Erasmus+_Project and all it's subpages for translation, please? Thanks! Theklan (talk) 12:55, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Done. signed, Aafi (talk) 19:26, 4 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thanks @Aafi! Could you mark all the subpages too? There are eight subpages there, marked with an image each. Thanks again. Theklan (talk) 11:45, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Also, the menu should be marked: Template:WikiWomen Erasmus+. thanks! Theklan (talk) 11:52, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Unsure why I missed sub-pages. Will do. ;) signed, Aafi (talk) 17:40, 5 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
I don't know why the template is not shown in other languages. Is this related to the translation? Theklan (talk) 21:05, 6 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Can someone, please, mark for translation all the subpages?
Thanks Theklan (talk) 08:40, 10 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Theklan Done All pages are now marked for translation. Let me know if I can help with anything else. signed, Aafi (talk) 06:41, 16 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Wiki Loves Living Heritage translations

[edit]

I had not worked on Living Heritage elements since the beginning of the year, and now that I checked on it, I had to revert several changes to make the pages function again.

@Pols12 I am returning pages transferred to subpages back to where they were. However, I noticed that this works somewhere, and found another reason for pages disappearing, so let's monitor the situation. I have not made the changes consistently across the pages yet.

The actual reason for the UNESCO list pages disappearing was a change someone had made in the data structure. This change was not well-grounded, and I must see that there will not be back-and-forth changes to it.

@Minorax I think the disappearance of the submenus was due to your changes in the Main navigation component. I reverted the change and now the submenus work again.

Sorry I had not noticed a discussion earlier this year about the pages.

Cheers, Susanna Ånäs (Susannaanas) 🦜 17:52, 31 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Sorry @Susannaanas, I posted on your talk page before seeing your message here. Thank you for having working on that issue and having open this discussion. 🙂 The issue does not come from /list subpage hack; I have restored Wiki Loves Living Heritage/Elements to demonstrate it does work.
However, the “Manually update list” link did not work from main pages, so I just have edited the template to make the link update /list subpage when it exists.
We need this hack, because there are too many pages which are too often edited by bot: that is polluting list of pages which need to be marked for translation.
By the way, please share the framework code you copy to create pages, because it contains some issues we may want to fix before pages are created. For example, it seems to miss the <languages/> bar. I also would like to integrate the /list subpage hack in that framework code and in your workflow to create pages.

Mark up for translation

Hello, admins. Could someone mark Community Wishlist/Wishes/Improve categorization system to be compatible with set and topic categories for translation? If you have any question, please ask me what it is. Thanks. Doraemonplus (talk) 13:58, 5 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
