Tower Hamlets Council is one of the 32 London Borough Councils and is located in East London. The area has a population of 212,800 and contains some of London's lesser well off suburban estates, but also the major finance and business district at Canary Wharf on the Isle of Dogs, on the site of the former Docklands. The council's offices are in Blackwall.
