Vadodara Also Known As Baroda Is The Third Most-Populated City In The Indian State Of Gujarat
The city of Vadodara is predominantly a Hindu city with population close to two million. The city is a highly crowded city with more than 10000 people per square km population density. The people in Vadodara are mostly vegetarian though the youth have taken to eating of meats and other savories. The populace of the city have been known for their tolerance and emotional maturity; justifying the name ‘Cultured-City' for Vadodara.
Vadodara, also known as Baroda, is a city of over 1.75 million people, in the west Indian state of Gujarat.
Although Rajkot and Surat are larger cities in the state, Vadodara is regarded as being Gujurat's cultural capital and is often referred to as “Sanskari-Nagar” or ‘Cultured City'.
The area is linguistically and culturally very diverse. Gujarati, the official language of the state, is spoken and understood by all. You can find Marathi, the legacy of the Maratha rulers in some pockets. Hindi, the national language is also understood by all. The large number of English and public schools has facilitated the spread of the English language.
With plenty of attractions, including palaces constructed by various Maharaja, and an appealing climate, Vadodara is a great place to visit.

  • Vadodara can be called as a civilized city. Here people have high standards, and it welcomes people from all states. I am from Kerala and was in Baroda for 8 years. It is a "good to live" city. After the entry of Inox the Race cource to Fatehgunj road has been devoloped and now it is more crowded than Alkapuri. Vadodara central and other shopping malls makes the city more beautyful.
