Cedar Creek 1 Wind Farm is located on the plateau lands in northeastern Colorado, about 45 miles (70 km) ESE of Cheyenne, Wyoming and 60 miles (95 km) ENE of Fort Collins, Colorado. Commissioned in 2007, it consists of 221 Mitsubishi MWT-1000A (1-MW) wind turbines and 53 GE Energy 1.5sle turbines with a combined nominal capacity of 300.5 MW.
Note: The GE turbines are located in the north/northwestern section whereas the Mitsubishis are in the east and south sections.
