Gurugram is one of the 21 districts of Haryana state. Gurugram city is the administrative headquarter of the district.It is part of the NCR and shares it's boundry in the North with the capital city New Delhi.
Gurugram city (historically known as Gurugram) is the administrative headquarters of the district. The population is 1,660,289 which includes tehsils which are now part of Mewat district.
The district is divided into 3 sub-divisions: Gurgaon North, Gurugram South and Pataudi, which are further divided into 5 tehsils, namely, Gurugram, Sohna, Pataudi, Farukh Nagar, Manesar. It also comprises four blocks, Pataudi, Sohna, Gurugram and Farrukhnagar.
