USA / New York / Matinecock / Lattingtown, New York
residence, LIGC - Long Island Gold Coast

Estate home designed c. 1906 by Howard Greenley in the clapboard Colonial style for Anson Wood Burchard {industrialist. capitalist} with formal landscaping by Ellen Biddle Shipman and farm buildings by Alfred Hopkins. Burchard was the president of General Electric Co. and the director of American Gas & Electric Co. William Lawrence Bottomley designed alterations to the main home in 1930's. Burchard also owned the former Henry Pomeroy Davison Residence at 690 Park Avenue in New York City.

After passing away during a luncheon at the New York City home of Mortimer Schiff, the estate was subsequently owned by Floyd Leslie Carlisle, Sr. and later by Leonard Wood Hall. The home has been renamed 'Kaintuck Farm'. The Hopkins-designed outbuildings are now a separate residence across the street.
