Bishop Hill I wind farm is located in Henry County, Illinois, 'between' the towns of Galva and Cambridge. It is in two main clusters, to the west of and northwest of Galva (south and east of the almost concurrent Bishop Hill II wind farm). Completed in 2012, it consists of 99 GE Energy 1.6- 100 wind turbines and 34 GE 1.5 MW XLE turbines, with a combined nominal capacity of 211 MW.
