strait / channel / passage / narrows, invisible
The body of water separating the North American landmass from Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and the San Juan Islands.
Other common names of this water body include the Georgia Strait, Gulf of Georgia, Georgia Gulf, Salish Sea, and less commonly, the heavy moniker "BC's Protected Coastal Waters".
Note that due to the 'too big polygon' limit, the polygon for this body of water is actually MUCH smaller than the actual water body. It extends to between Campbell River and Lund, BC on the North end, and to the San Juan Islands in the south.
