One of the most popular state-run parks in Massachusetts, Horseneck Beach State Reservation is centered around the southwestward-facing beach, lying on the border between Buzzard's Bay and Rhode Island Sound. Its centerpiece is the 1-1/2 mile long beach, well known for its breeziness as well as its riptides. The reservation also includes plenty of parking, as well as a campground and state controlled marshlands on the inland side of the reservation. Massachusetts Route 88 is the primary access road, specifically built to provide access from Interstate 195, U.S. Route 6 and Route 177.
