  • Does this lake belong to Tatas? Bhushi dam was built by railways for supply of water at Lonavla Railway station. Tatas' Valvan and Shiraota lakes are on the other side of the railway line!
  • Phadnis is right. That's not TATA lake.
  • Hey guys, According to the map , the lake you all are talking about is commonly know to the local residents as 'Lonavla Dam', which is currently owned by TATA Electric Co. Ltd. A sign-board bearing the company's name can be seen at the site. The dam wall was earlier open for common public, but since last two years, the TATA company have prohibited access on the dam wall, resulting in lack of interest by tourists visiting Lonavla.
  • the dam and lake belonged to railways. Unless it is recently sold by railways to Tatas, it isnt a Tata lake. It does not seem to have any particular use to Tatas
  • this is bushy dam with bushy lake. Tungan Lake & Valvan lake are on the other side of the railway line. Shirota lake is still above these 2 lakes & also on the other side of railway line when compared with bushy lake.
