Long Hammer

The Long Hammer is an upgrade available to Amy in Sonic Adventure. An upgraded green version of her standard Piko Piko Hammer, this item enables the hedgehog to up the Spin Hammer Attack's range of destruction. Sonic Adventure is the only game where the Spin Hammer Attack is in Amy's moveset, and so this upgrade has not appeared anywhere since.

Sonic Adventure

• Purpose: Increases Spin Hammer Attack radius.
• Location: Egg Carrier interior, in the Hedgehog Hammer sub-game outside the ship's brig. Unlike all the other characters' upgrades, the Hammer is not found lying on the floor with a green effect; it is automatically awarded on winning the sub-game.
• Requirements: None, although the Egg Carrier must have crashed into the ocean in order to try for the Long Hammer. Amy must beat her own high score at Hedgehog Hammer or break 3,000 points; whichever is higher.
• Required For: Nothing--it's purely a novelty item to make Amy's life easier when surrounded by Badniks.
