As the product appeared to be falling into a state of "maintenance mode" several sponsors of VOICE began to enquire as to the possibility of purchasing the rights to the source code to renew development.
The result of this was that the sponsors of VOICE voted to purchase the source for development. PMMail/2 is free to all VOICE sponsors who were paid-up as of December 31, 2006.
