- London beat Paris ;-) in the Firefox OS bug squash party
- Robert Nyman gave a great Firefox OS talk at Budapest.mobile
- Firefox OS has become the third most used operating system on smartphones in Peru, displacing the fourth to Apple's iPhone according to Information Research Division of Netdreams.
- Matchstick had a successful Kickstarter campaign for their Firefox OS based streaming dongle. They had a goal of raising $100,000 and closed out the campaign with with nearly half a million ($470,000) raised from 17,2180 donors.
- The Alcatel ONETOUCH Fire E launched in Hungary
- Flame Updates
- As of last week, thanks to MozFest, we have nearly 1000 more Flame contributors. If you're one of the lucky folks to get a free Flame, I'd like to again remind y'all to flash to something contemporary and report bugs! Also a reminder to our veterans, we've got a large number of incoming new folks and some of them need your help getting their feedback to the right places. Please be gentle and helpful in redirecting them to Bugzilla or what ever is the appropriate forum. Thanks!
- Foxtrot Flame shipment should arrive in a week or so. Still awaiting Foxtrot builds from partner.
- Flame retail sales at Everbuying will wrap at the end of this month. If you were planning on purchasing one, now's the time.
- Flame will be receiving its first major over-the-air update, from Firefox OS 1.3 to Firefox OS 2.0 in the next week or so. It's looking like Nov 10th, the Firefox anniversary :-)
- 122 Mozillians landed 230 fixes into Firefox OS this last week.
