Steps to reproduce:

I cannot provide the actual video that this occurred on as I do not have permission to share it outside of my institution. I will provide the source code at the bottom but you will not have access to any of the links.

1. Set up JWPlayer 8.4.1 with an audio-only source.
2. Set a background image on the player
3. Play video and open picture-in-picture

Actual results:

The player window says "This video is playing in Picture-in-Picture mode" but no other window opens up. Once this occurs you are soft locked and cannot close Picture-in-Picture until the page is refreshed as there is no window that can be closed.

Expected results:

Either the background image should have loaded into the Picture-in-Picture, or there should be no option when the source is not a video.

In the file I attached, I believe the most important line is 41. This is where the image is loaded into the background. I don't really know how these video players work, but hopefully this provides some insight into reproducing the issue.

I have also attached an MP4 to show what is happening. I do have multiple monitors but it does not show up on those either. I was able to reproduce this on my laptop as well as desktop.

UPDATE:

• I didn't realize when I first opened the ticket, but a picture-in-picture process DOES start, but it is not visible. I.e I am able to alt-tab and see the windows, or hover over firefox on the taskbar and see the picture-in-picture window exists, but it does not contain anything. It is able to be closed though.
