antp ◊ 2008-06-03 23:43	Near the end of the movie, there is a scene reminding the movie "Speed": the Jeep cannot brake or it explodes, so it has to drive fast. The main character jumps in the Jeep using a police bike.

jpts ◊ 2016-03-15 11:52	I liked the movie because it ties into the Troubles and the IRA Bombings in Northern Ireland and the UK and the Peace Treaty to end the violence as well the mass evacuation of ex-IRA mercenaries who supported the Peace Treaty.

humungus ◊ 2025-03-07 17:33	Hard to argue with Jeff Bridges, Tommy Lee Jones, Lloyd Bridges and Forest Whitaker all in the same movie, but Roger Ebert was clearly too bored and/or annoyed by it to pay attention to it: Roger Ebert wrote 1. A member of the bomb squad is listening to a Walkman which, alas, has been rigged with a bomb... 2. ...Jeff Bridges’ girlfriend while she plays violin for the Boston Pops.” 3. “Blown Up” is the kind of movie that people should be sentenced to see if they complain that “Speed” is implausible. 3. Blown Up?!? 2. At that point in the movie, she's Jeff Bridges' wife... 1.
