[nafex] stamping sets (for making plant labels)

I'm about to make a purchase of a stamping set for making "permanent" 
labels.  They come in "1/8","1/4", and "3/8" inch size.  Is there 
anybody using them that can make a size recommendation.  I had 
assumed the 1/8 was too small and lightweight, and was leaning toward 
the 1/4 as being the best combination of size and priced (12.99 
versus 19.99 for the 3/8).
