Seminar on SDI in Beijing - with financial support for travel
The National Geomatics Center of China (NGCC) is organizing the 2nd International Seminar on Construction and Application of Spatial Data Infrastructure, being held in Beijing, May 2-11, 2018. The Seminar is co-organized by Capital Normal University and has support from National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation of China, ISPRS, and UN-GGIM-AP.
NGCC is providing financial support to about 40 participants from Surveying and Mapping Agencies of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) or other developing countries. The support includes accommodations during May 2-10, 2018 and registration fee for the ISPRS Technical Commission III Symposium on "Developments, Technologies and applications in Remote Sensing" ( http://www.isprs-tc3.tianditu.com/ ). Limited international travel costs will be provided to participants from LDC countries (https://www.un.org/development/desa/dpad/wp-content/uploads/sites/45/publication/ldc_list.pdf). The financial support will be arranged on a first-come-first-served basis.
The Seminar will consist of two periods. The first part (May 2-6, 2018) focuses on lectures and technical visits, while the second part (May 7-10, 2018) will be the ISPRS TC III Symposium. The symposium will include plenary sessions, technical sessions, tutorials, social activities, exhibitions and will provide an inter-disciplinary platform for experts, scholars and practitioners to present the latest developments and applications, discuss cutting-edge technologies, exchange research ideas, and promote international collaboration in the field of remote sensing. Over 700 papers have been submitted from around the world.
