Radiant Ivory
National Systems Tactical Detection and Reporting (TACDAR)
The Navy's Radiant Ivory-derived National Systems Tactical Detection and Reporting (TACDAR) capability is one of three components of the Tactical Event System, along with theater-based JTAGS, and CONUS-based ALERT. Radiant Ivory systems are stationed in a theater and transmit processed data directly to consumers at the operational level. Radiant Ivory / TACDARis designed for in-theater receipt, processing and dissemination of warning and alerting data on major tactical events such as missile launches from Defense Support Program (DSP) sensors and follow-on Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) sensors.
