Non-denominational or Nondenominational is a term that indicates that a person or organization is not restricted to any particular or specific religious denomination. The term has been used in the context of various faiths. In Christianity, nondenominational institutions are historically Protestant, or remain officially autonomous. Indeed, the word denomination itself also reflects one of the main characteristics of Protestant Christianity arising from the American experience.[1]
