Isaiah (Hebrew: ישעיה, Yeshaʻyāh; Greek: Ἠσαίας, Ēsaiās; Arabic: أشعیاء, Ash'iyā`; "YHWH has Saved") was a prophet during the period decline of Israel that eventually led to the fall of Jerusalem. His prophecies are some of the most poetic and Messianic in the Old Testament, earning him the nickname "Prince of prophets".
