Artistotle (Greek: Ἀριστοτέλης, Aristotélēs, Stagira, Born::384 BC - Athens, Died::322 BC), is one of the most important philosophers to have lived. Together with Plato and Socrates, he is among the most important founding figures in Western philosophy. He was a student of Plato and teacher of Alexander the Great. His philosophy addressed ethics, logic, metaphysics, and natural science, most notably physics and biology.

In the Middle Ages, scholastic theologians made an effort to reconcile Aristotelian philosophy with Christianity.
