The Anamim (Hebrew: ענמים, ʻAnāmīm; "Name means::affliction of the waters") are the descendants of Anam (Hebrew: ענמ, ʻAnām), the second son of son of::Mizraim, according to Genesis 10:13 .
Descendants
Secular records are almost silent concerning this people, which may be accounted for by the devastations of the Ethiopic War. A text from Assyria, dating from the time of Sargon II, apparently calls the Egyptians "Anami".
