Oops!

Is it bad that both Jay and I forgot that it was our anniversary until just a few minutes ago? Or does it make it OK that we both forgot?

It's number eight. I was going to write a cute post about our wedding day or how we met or something like that. I guess it'll wait until next year. But just for fun, here's a picture of us eight years ago today.

My in-laws decided that neither would feel bad about the other forgetting their anniversary the year they both forgot it until they got a card from my mother-in-law's sister (the one with the Master's degree in home economics).

aw cute! i wrote down our anni a few different places and set a reminder on the ical for the next however many years.. so hopefully i don't forget so soon in our marriage

Yeah, we have a hard time keeping track. It gets complicated since we tied the knot three times. The first we think is June 5th (pretty sure), the second was sometime the first week in January but we were abroad and who keeps tracks of days when traveling, the third we know for sure since we had to plan it a year in advance (May 22).

If you both forget you're golden!!

I am not married, but my family really doesn't sweat any of that stuff. I am guessing my parents have forgotten more often than they have remembered and they will have been happily married for 35 years come next month...so I think you're good. Plus you seemed pretty happy on Monday despite the constant influx of relatives and guests :)

Aw, I remember that! I can't believe it's been 8 years. Congratulations!

Amusingly enough, J is the more sentimental of the 2 of us, so if I ever forgot our anniversary I think I would be in big trouble.

Dang it Dang it Dang it! Every year I say..."We will not forget Jay and MB's anniversary" and every year we forget. And since you guys forgot then does that mean we're golden too?! :0)

Anyway....Congrats to 8 great years. You guys don't look 8 years older. You're still a very good looking couple!
