FACTS Sketches I
Here's the first of a flurry of sketches produced in Belgium this past weekend. There are a couple of dozen more of these rascals to follow over the next few weeks.

Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream
This has been formally announced now, and it looks like they're using my page as the illustration accompanying the news item, so I guess it's okay to post it here: I'm one of the contributors to Little Nemo: Dream Another Dream, a new anthology where various contemporary cartoonists offer their own interpretations of Winsor McCay's great, great comic strip, Little Nemo in Slumberland. There's more bumf about it here.
Also: I've seen posts about the Popeye Volume 3 and Rocketeer: Hollywood Horror paperback collections here and there, so I suspect they might be out this week; I'm not exactly sure. But ask your local comic store about them anyway. That never hurts.

Rocky!
So, the first issue of the Rocketeer series I wrote, The Hollywood Horror, hit stores this Wednesday. The artwork by J. Bone and Jordie Bellaire is stunning. Stunning, I tell you! And I hope it's as much fun to read as it was to write.
Here are some of the cover roughs I did as ideas for our regular cover guy, the incredible Walter Simonson, to spring off from.

More later, maybe, when they're not so spoiler-y.

The Rocketeer!
![]() |
| (Picture glommed from Comics Alliance - thanks, chaps) |
Yup! This was announced while I was at Thought Bubble this weekend - a new IDW Rocketeer mini-series written by me and drawn by J Bone (with colours by Jordie Bellaire). Oh, I've been sitting on this one for months. Months, I tell you! Anyway, I believe the first issue will be out in February 2013. (And here's a doodle I did at Thought Bubble at someone's kind request.)
Speaking of sketches, here's a bunch from recent shows - those I remembered to take pictures of, at any rate. Thanks to everyone who stopped by at Thought Bubble, incidentally - Tamsin and I had a fine old time.
