Nice video. I guess women deserve more than that. Woman must be value equally as men. Also they need to be protected and loved. Say no more to violence to women. Do you know the mean of

Vampires
Lately I've been inhalling books about vampires and just haven't read many others that hold my interest. I'm used to going in phases, but the vampire phase is lasting a bit longer then normal, not that I'm complaining. It also helps that kick-ass female heroines are really popular in vampire books right now.
Some of the series I've been reading besides the standard Dracula and Ann Rice books have been really good, some have just seemed like regurgitated crap stolen shamelessly from other authors, and some have been genuinely good.
To start my friend Molly got me into the Anita Blake series, by Laurell K. Hamilton, which started off incredibly well, got me throughly addicted, and then descended into angst and porn as the author went through a divorce and then found a new lover. Luckily there are rumors that the newest book (I'm waiting for paperback) returns to the original style (Aka. with actual plot movement) but still manages to retain some of the fun from the middle set of books with out the raunchiness. I'm looking forward to judging myself. Now the reason why I got hooked on Anita Blake so quickly and effortlessly was that she's a kick ass chick, with real social issues, hobbies (she collects stuffed penguins - how cute!), and just happens to make a living raising Zombies. She also is courted by the Master Vampire of the city and eventually the head werewolf.
The next series I read was the Vampire Files, and I really liked the first couple books and got quickly bored because it was the same nonsense over and over. I had bought the first 6 novels in 2 volumes, and didn't even finish the 2nd volume. Part of the charm that I found in the first couple books was that the main character, Jack, wakes up dead and has to bumble around to learn how to be a vampire while he chases down and hunts his killers. How cool is that? Seriously, killing your murderers in 1930s Chicago. But like I said, after the strong start it petered out quickly into reused plot lines with different names.
Yesterday I read a book by Karen Chance called Touch The Dark which seemed like an Anita Blake wanna be. I may eventually revisit the series, but not until there are more books out, since I hate reading books that end on cliff hangers (like this one did - ugh) and there is no follow up book out yet. There is a sequel to Touch The Dark, but I wasn't impressed enough to rush out for it yet.
The last book I've gotten half way through 3 times, and have yet to finish, and thats the Historian. The only reason I haven't eagerly finished it is because I keep starting and then forgetting the book at my parents house; its quite aggravating, and when I do get it again its such an intricate plot that I know I should restart because I'll forget things, and then I get annoyed and put it down again.
Other series that I'm looking forward to trying are the Vampire Diaries, the Rachel Morgan series, and the Mercy Thomas. At first glance the second two series seem like they'll be in the Hamilton style, but hey, I enjoy it when its well written.

So it's YOUR fault that the vampire stuff now takes up two columns of shelves in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section at my local B&N! Wondered what was going on...
Seriously, you might want to check out the
Dresden Files series. He's not a vampire himself, but they keep turning up... The first 8 books are out in paperback. (SciFi Channel has made these into a series-- which I haven't seen, no cable-- but the books came first.)

Dear Self
When your stomach stops protesting remember to throw out all your tomato soup.
Why? Because you didn't look at the date at the bottom of the can before eating it. Way to go, slick. Lets tell the folks at home when the experation date was - the one you didn't think to check until your stomach started the first round of angry protests - Feb 2007.
Damn it.

I'd wager better than even money that the tomato soup didn't cause the problem. Those expiration dates tend to be very conservative, so (unless you've been storing your soup in a hot attic) 4 months out of date shouldn't be harmful. (Now if it'd been 200

Witchy, if you like the smell but not the taste, you're probably drinking the wrong coffee. (Yes, I'm looking at YOU, Starbucks... who over-roasts their beans.) Properly roasted and brewed coffee shouldn't be bitter. With enough (real) cream and sugar, you should be able to get the taste very close to coffee ice cream, if that's your pleasure.

Ren Faire
So I'm going to be going to a Renaissance Faire soon with a close friend, Shae, and my best friend Paul. I'm so excited about it, though Shae wants to dress up - and I know I'll end up sewing. Heh. On the other hand, Paul doesn't seem adverse to dressing up, and in fact, I just learned how to make a doublet and pumpkin pants today! I'll sew all that is necessary in order to get pictures of Paul in tights and pumpkin pants.
I think I told Bunny and Ted, and if not, they'll know soon, at minimum me and Shae will be crashing in the living room. I'm not sure bout Paul, he may crash at Steph's or Trev's. Also, Paul 2 sounded interested in going as well when Shae told him. Laura jumped for joy at the prospect which can make things interesting as well. You see, complications arise better then cable entertainment is born when someone has both a boy friend and a girl friend and they both want to come to the same Ren Faire. And be surrounded by the Phipps family.
In either case, we're going on Military History Weekend (May 26, 27, and 28) and Paul is pushing the 28th so he can get in free. He's such a tight wad. Oh well. Love!

Workaholicism
- Do you get more excited about your work than about family or anything else?
- Are there times when you can charge through your work and other times when you can't?
- Do you take work with you to bed? On weekends? On vacation?
- Is work the activity you like to do best and talk about most?
- Do you work more than 40 hours a week?
- Do you turn your hobbies into money-making ventures?
- Do you take complete responsibility for the outcome of your work efforts?
- Have your family or friends given up expecting you on time?
- Do you take on extra work because you are concerned that it won't otherwise get done?
- Do you underestimate how long a project will take and then rush to complete it?
- Do you believe that it is okay to work long hours if you love what you are doing?
- Do you get impatient with people who have other priorities besides work?
- Are you afraid that if you don't work hard you will lose your job or be a failure?
- Is the future a constant worry for you even when things are going very well?
- Do you do things energetically and competitively including play?
- Do you get irritated when people ask you to stop doing your work in order to do something else?
- Have your long hours hurt your family or other relationships?
- Do you think about your work while driving, falling asleep or when others are talking?
- Do you work or read during meals?
- Do you believe that more money will solve the other problems in your life?
If you answered more then three of these questions with a "yes" you're a potential
workaholic... I can answer at least 14 with a yes.
Oh well, nothing new there.

Carnivals
I am now, and probably forever more, addicted to carnivals. I just love them and I can't believe I've been missing out for so long. I rarely play the games because the rides are what I go for.
Maybe I'm weird, but I absolutely love the adrenaline rush and it feels peaceful to be on a ride. The lack of control, with all the people screaming everywhere, and theres nothing to be done until the ride controller decides the ride is over. And you never know when the ride controller will decide to screw with the passengers by making it go backwards randomly, or making the ride slow like its stopping before whirling back into full speed.
Or maybe I'm just the weird girl that gets on the rides and can't help but laugh the entire time.

Learn To Speak Carefully
Last night an actress, lets call her J, missed rehearsal and we couldn't get a hold of her at all. I was pissed because her role is pretty vital to the show and with no warning or explanation it sucks to have someone missing - especially when its a very short rehearsal period.
In my anger I said something along the lines of "She better be in a ditch or a hospital!"
Little did I know.
Today I found out that J had gone to a restaurant and a guy she chatted with slipped something into her drink. She fell down on the way to rehearsal and doesn't remember anything until Midnight when her roommate/girlfriend took her to the hospital. At around 9:00 she was found by another girl laying on the side of a road.
Damn it. I felt bad about cursing her.
Maybe next time I just shouldn't stress it... Unless its a show. In that case I'll freak out no matter what.

I'm so glad you're diligent and ready at a drop of a hat an hours warning to come rushing leave the fireman standing outside of the building for 20 minutes waiting for you!
Were you drunk? Wouldn't surprise me. Or is it more simple - do you just suck as a human being?

You're all retards1. I hate Securitas. You'd think security would have stopped sucking so bad, after recent events at other colleges.
Much hate,

Their are lots of good reasons why people should hate securitas, for one, I was one of their leading officers, then when I requested a transfer they placed me on floating shift work. When I left I had a good vent at them through e-mail, they have then sat their and slandered my every job application for the last 6 years. How do I know, one employer had the good grace to tell me.
Lets see how they like what is going to happen to them now...
I have reported them to several authorities and am considering legal litigation!

Perhaps they'd like to explain why they sometimes completely forget to pay their staff or sometimes forget what days you've actually worked. They then expect you to get their or threaten you with the sack. What a clever way to top up your own interest on your company account. Is it breaking the law my coming forward, hardly, I would call it responsible disclosure.

Dear Andre,
These are some sick dreams. Really. You aren't supposed to dream your own death; and killing a baby in a nightmare does not make for a restful nights sleep.
If you could just, you know, help me out, that would be real great.
Oh, and make the men in my life slightly less stupid... That would be handy too.
Love,
-Phipps

Dear Andre,
If you could just get rid of certain video games, I'm sure thousands of women in my generation would save millions on future therapy as they try to figure out why their self image has been corrupted.
These stupid, pointless, time consuming video games make it impossible to build any sort of communication. Screw them "influencing" people to go shoot others, or whatever they're saying lately.
But hell Andre, not even get rid of them, just make them not so damn addicting.
