For The Shimmerz Paints Design Team, Sunshine And Spring

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints! Go and see all the fun                       treasures there!

To make this page, I stenciled Prima Platinum Texture Paste with a small spatula onto watercolor paper. I taped on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger and to lie flat, and made a mat also. I took a piece of corrugated cardboard, ripped some of the paper off, and brushed on white gesso.  I added layers of corrugated cardboard in between the layers. I taped on  flowers, chipboard, and taped and glued on beads and other items. I brushed on Shimmerz Paints.I made thin layers of them. I rubbed on gold and pearl mica powder on different  areas.

I made the flowers out of polyester chiffon, there are six layers of three different sizes. I dyed them with Peacock's Plume, then held each layer over a candle to make the edges curl up. I sewed the layers together and glued a pearl on. I tried doing the edges before I dyed the layers, and it worked much better. The paint burns very easily and the edges got blackened.

To add visual interest I added microbeads, seed beads, glass beads, sequins, sisal, tulle, crystals,a shell, pearls, glass glitter, chipboard, flowers, and bling and metal from my stash.
Many of the items are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.

Love That Smile | March Color Kitz | Brandy Vaughn

Hello, friends! I'm back with a new layout using the March Color Kitz. I thought this kit was just perfect for documenting one of my granddaughter's school photos.

The first thing I did was pull a stencil from my stash and used it to add some texture paste to my cardstock.

Once that was dry, I reached for my Shimmerz in Stay Posy-tive (March Color Kit exclusive) and Coloringz in Pink Stilettos and used the packaging technique to add it to the page.

Then, I fussy cut the stars from one of the papers and placed them around the photo along with the wood veneer stars from the kit.

I decided that the wooden stars needed a little extra sparkle so I painted the tops with Shimmerz in Peaches and Cream.

Finally, I added a title and some Nuvo drops from my stash for that finishing touch.

You can check out all of the details about the March Color Kitz in the Shimmerz Shop. Don't forget to add my name to your order for a free product!

xoxo,
Brandy

March 2025 Color Kitz | Spring Selfies Layout | Stephanie Dang

Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie Dang, and I'm back on the blog today to share my next layout using this month’s color kitz. If you would like to see more of my work or follow me, please find me at https://www.instagram.com/paperandi/ and https://paperandi07.blogspot.com. Are you the family's unofficial designated photographer like I am? Chances are- you're never in a picture unless you're taking a selfie. :) You will find all supplies to recreate the layout at the bottom of my blog post.

Step 1: Start with the floral paper and prep with gesso around the center on the circle. Let dry.

Step 2: Using Peaches and Cream Shimmerz, mix with a brush, and apply with water on paper. Adding plenty of water and moving paper around to let that water slide naturally. Tap brush around layout to create splatters. Let dry.

Step 3: Fussy cut florals and clovers. Add to layout on left side in a shape of a little over half a circle. Add photo framed in white cardstock.

Step 4: Embellish page with banners, ephemeras, "selfie" dotz, butterfly, and title.

Step 5: Finish layout by adding Freshly Minted inklingz by using a brush with water. Mix that color, and add it to the minted clovers on page. Add some splatters.

Supplies:
• Shimmerz Paints MARCH 2025 Color Kitz,  Inklingz (Freshly Minted), Inklingz (Peaches and CReam), gesso, white cardstock, foam adhesive, sewing machine and thread, and regular adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my project, and felt inspired to create this yourself by using the March 2025 Color Kitz. If you would like to see more of my work or follow me, please find me at https://www.instagram.com/paperandi/ and https://paperandi07.blogspot.com. Thank you for reading and have an awesome blessed week!

Hangin Out Scrapbook Layout Using the March Color Kitz

Hey all, Nicole here with a page I created with the March Color Kitz Bundle.  I am documenting my youngest and her friend.  I'm also using a sketch from the 30 Days of Sketches Facebook Group.

The first thing that I did for this layout is find the patterned paper I wanted to use for the triangles.  I decided to use this stripy paper from the kit.  I then cut them into two triangles.  I laid them down on the page to see where I wanted them to go and then I added spray from the kit.

When the paint was dry I then added my triangles back to the page with double sided sticky tape.  I added my photo down here to the lower right triangle, making sure to lay it down a bit wonky!  I then decided to add a cluster of dotz and wood veneer to each of these triangles.

Lastly I added this little interest over to the lower left of the page.  I used a sticker that kinda looks like a postage stamp and then added some of the patterned paper on top.  I then added my journaling and my title.

Thanks so much for stopping in to read about my layout.  You can find the kit here: Color Kitz Bundle If you decide to grab the kit or anything else from the Shimmerz shop, don't forget to use my name, Nicole, in the shopping cart notes so you can get a little freebie with your order! Until next time, Nicole
