It is an ideal resource for parsing postal codes or for ensuring correct data entry. The data is provided in three files. The first contains valid postal code format rules, and also commonly mis-formatted versions. The data contained is:•Country name•Internal GRC Database Information country code•ISO 3166-2 country code•ISO 3166-3 country code•ISO numeric country code•Correct postal code length•A flag to indicate whether the given format is correct or a common error•One code per postal code character position to indicate the expected character typeThe second table contains characters which are not allowed in the postal codes in the country concerned.
