We've had buckets and buckets of rain this spring, which is great for the garden and my well, no doubt. 

However, not so great for taking photos of said garden.

The garden is an explosion of color these days. 

Every time I walk outside the door, I see something new blooming. 

The Perennial Bed in Mid June

My perennial bed is certainly not a manicured, mulched space. It's a true country garden, a cottage garden of sorts. 

But even a cottage garden needs to be tamed from time to time, or it will soon get out of control.
