This week is all about reaction skills!
In our previous updates of the game, we increased Vahn's survivability by providing potions and adjusting several skills to prevent Vahn from being hit indefinitely. Although, the chance of being hit to death is now low, there are certain situations where this can still happen, especially when fighting a considerable number of enemies. We feel that there should be an option for the player to escape these situations.
Thus, we implemented reaction skills.
Vahn can now use reaction skills. Like active skills, reactive skill can be equipped by opening the album and dragging the corresponding skill in the combat skill area marked as "R". Vahn also now has a soul gauge and can be monitored in the upper left corner of the screen, just below the energy gauge.
Reaction skills can be used when Vahn is hit with a full soul gauge. If Vahn is hit with a full soul gauge, Vahn may enter a reaction state for a limited time. In the reaction state, time slows down and active skill is changed based on the reaction skills equipped. Also in the reaction state, Vahn may opt to use his reaction skill or perform other actions like block or dash. If a reaction skill is used, full soul gauge will be consumed and only a quarter will be used if other actions were done. Performing an action immediately exits the reaction state.
Reaction skills varies from pushing enemies to massively increasing your dodge for a short amount of time. Feel free to experiment with your reaction skills.
With this update, players will now have enough utilities to battle large horde of enemies and enough survivability to battle end game bosses!
