Osaka Gakuin University hosted the TCSOL/TESOL Dual Certificate Summer Program in Osaka in collaboration with the Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) Teachers College, Columbia University. The program entered its final week which challenged participants to expand on their current understanding of language teaching practices.

The final week of the program, from July 29th to August 2nd, centered around the Foreign Language Pedagogy course. Instructed by Dr. Han of Teachers College, Columbia University, 21 participants from all around the world were provided intensive guidance on the latest research on language instruction. The following are two example topics covered by Dr. Han:

• Chat GPT and foreign language teaching methods
• Task-based teaching

On the final day of the program, we celebrated the accomplishments of all 21 dedicated participants with program staff and program alumni. Thank you to all the alumni who attended the reception to celebrate this year's cohort! Congratulations to the class of 2024!
