For
an unforgettable vacation, plan a stay at Sheridan Lake Resort.
You'll enjoy picture perfect scenery, fishing for exceptional
rainbow trout and a friendly welcome. Bob and Jeanine Leith,
your hosts, invite you to stay a while,
enjoy the beauty of the land and the excitement of the catch.
And remember, the one you catch, could easily be one of the
trophy fish that have made Sheridan Lake famous.
Sheridan
Lake has a reputation as being a producer of monster rainbow
and attracts anglers from all corners of North America. The
average rainbow weights 3 pounds, but fish over 10 pounds are
caught every year. This is due to the abundant shrimp and insect
populations that encourage a rapid growth rate. Easy access and heavy angling
doesn’t matter, because the challenge of catching the average
and larger than average rainbows is not diminished nor hampered.
The repeat customers at Sheridan Lake Resort are proof of this.
Sheridan
Lake, located in the Interlakes district of Cariboo Chilcotin,
is 1659-hectares (4098 acres) and spring fed, with miles of
shoreline and shoals. It is well stocked, 300,000 annually,
many reaching trophy size.
Access is by Hwy 24, 35km (22mi) east of 93 Mile House
(off Hwy 97, just south of the community of 100 Mile House). Turn right at the Sheridan Lake Store onto Magnussen
Road. Sheridan Lake Resort is only an 8-hour drive from Seattle
or 5 ½ hours from Vancouver. If coming in from Kamloops, take
the Yellowhead (Hwy 5) to Little Fort, then head west on Hwy
24 for 68km (41mi).
