Corning has officially announced the Gorilla Glass 4 that is the successor of Gorilla Glass 3 for the upcoming devices. This new Gorilla Glass 4 is relatively thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Besides these changes, the latest offering is also devised to deliver improved damage resistance and it is claimed to be two folds tougher than the other competitive cover glass designs available in the market.

The concept of flexible displays on smartphones have been making rounds in the tech media world since many years and it was in 2013 that we saw couple of such devices with curved screens. However, the panels in the LG G Flex and Samsung Galaxy Round were not bendable. It appears like LG Display has a plan to progress from curved displays to flexible displays.

LAVA has officially launched a new budget-Android smartphone in India today. Dubbed as LAVA Iris 450 COLOUR, the smartphone was found listed on company's official website couple of weeks back. The Iris 450 COLOUR comes in two colours - Pro Black and Ivory White, with range of interchangeable back panels. Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 in India last month and starting from April 11, the smartphone was available across the country. Samsung Galaxy S5 was priced at Rs. 51,500 at the time of launch, and weeks after the launch the smartphone is now available from India's leading e-commerce site Flipkart for Rs. 46,450 (updated), which is Rs. 5,050 less than the launch price.
It looks like Samsung lowered the price of Galaxy S5 because of the launch of HTC One (M8) in the country. HTC has launched the One (M8) in India earlier today for Rs. 49,900. One more price-cut and Galaxy S5 will become the best phone available in the market for around Rs. 42,000.
