Cafe Begur

We’ve recently visited Begur twice.
During our first trip we stumbled upon this great place in the old city center called CafeBegur.
It was time for dessert, by the time we got there, so we made sure check out some of their finest.
We not only enjoyed our treats but the place itself, as it had an “oriental” design and feel to it.
Next time we got to Begur we wanted to share the experience so we brought along two friends and
stayed for lunch. We weren’t disappointed, lunch was great, and our friends shared the same opinion.
Here are some pics I took.

This Week’s - Places To Be - Photo Diary - Taste All Those Market

Hi there
I love the spring feeling that's in the city right now!
Markets are more fun with a better weather :)
Here are some pics from Taste All Those Market held in the University garden this weekend.
A market based on a sustainable idea of seasoned, local food, that combines a Farmer Market with Street Food :)
I went yesterday after my yoga tt. course together with my boyfriend so we could buy some eco and fresh food
directly from the producers. Apart from that, we tasted some goodies like alcachofas and vegan brownies and of course he bought some fresh coffee beans.
So this is yet another place to be in Barcelona, can't wait for more.
Have a beautiful week everyone :)

This Week’s - Places To Be - Photo Diary - Barraca Barceloneta

As spring is here and summer is just around the corner I thought of letting you know of a really cool
place in Barcelona at the beach. It’s called Barraca, and it’s part of the  Tribu Woki chain of eco
stores and restaurant. They serve a great variety of organic food like woks and vegan burgers. The
place is neatly design and it has a nice terrace as well overlooking the the beach Barceloneta. I find it
a great place to spend some time on a sunny day.

This Week’s Places To Be - Photo Diary - Granja Petitbo

It’s been a while since I wanted to write about this great place.
Granja Petitbo is located in the Dreta de L’Eixample neighborhood of Barcelona, quite close to the city center. We discovered this place a long time ago and always appreciated the design and the great location it had. We first went there a few summers ago, they had their windows wide open towards the street, you could actually sit next to the sidewalk on a bench, it was a nice and chill place to avoid the heat of the summer noons.
They have a big variety of foods and drinks to choose from and the price isn’t so bad either.
Lately we have  found it quite full though but it’s definitely worth a visit.

This Week’s Places To Be - Photo Diary - Travel & Cake

We’ve been to Travel & Cake a few weeks back actually with some friends, to try out their
cakes of course and we weren’t disappointed. They have quite a few cakes to choose from and some
vegetarian choices for food if , of course, you’re hungry.  The place is really nice inside, but it’s quite crowded
and hence loud as well, so next time, when the weather gets a bit warmer we’ll try to enjoy some other cakes on their terrace.

This Week’s Places to Be - Photo Diary - OBBIO FOOD

Hi,
This is a place that I'm really grateful for. I found out about it right when it  opened and then a friend actually took
me there for lunch.
Now it has become the organic supermarket we buy our food from!
What's really great about it is that it has a restaurant, that serves delicious organic and fresh food, where you can
choose from variety of things, majority vegan food, and sweets as well.
It's a pleasant place and it also has a small and cute terrace where you can enjoy your lunch.
The second greatest thing about it, is that it is really close to the yoga studio I usually go to, so I can enjoy a nice
and healthy meal between classes :)
Cheers

This Week’s Places to Be - Photo Diary - Ugot

This morning we went to a place really close to us, as we have seen it quite a lot of times without
entering. It’s a cute place with a lot of light, decorated in a vintage style. They have a great variety of
foods with vegetarian options, but we decided to go straight to the cakes. We weren’t disappointed,
our cheesecakes were absolutely delicious.
The place is perfect for a Sunday brunch, or for any other day in fact. They play music from the 60s
but you can’t really hear it from the people chitchatting. Ah.. and they went vintage all the way since
their cups and saucers are exactly as if they were from my grandmother's Sunday set.
Wish you a great week, and here are some pictures from  the place.
Cheers from Barcelona !

This Week’s Places To Be - Photo Diary - Salterio

Barcelona seems less crowded this time of the year, now that the holidays are almost over,
so we decided to go to this small a tiny oriental restaurant - teahouse, called Salterio.
It’s a really, really small place by the way, and very, very cozy. Think of an oriental style cafe in the
gothic center of the city and you’ll get the feeling I’m on about. The place is almost entirely lit by
candlelight, has all kinds of teapots everywhere you look, the wall is made of stones, the roof has an
old wooden structure etc. I could go on forever.
Last time we took a peak inside it was so full we could’t get in, this time was no different either, but
we managed to find a place near the entrance to enjoy a cup of tea, while loads of people from all
around the world were trying their luck to get in as well.
The menu is quite diverse, has many different flavours and kinds of tea and vegetarian options for
snacks as well. We opted for a Yogi tea with vegetal milk and some sweet sardo made of apples,
walnuts, sesame and thin bread.
The staff was really nice, there was quiet and good music playing, and I’ve heard someone say they
even have a band play live music sometimes, but I wonder how they make them fit in though.
